This was my very first trip alone outside of the US. Very daring but very adventurous. Despite going in the middle of Hurricane Season, Tropical storm Issaac missed Jamaica and Atlanta and it only rained twice the whole time. :) Not only did i do everything i wanted but i also did everything i wanted within a set budget. I got the opportunity to see Montego Bay, Ocho Rios where i stayed, Negril overnight, and Kingston in just four days. Even though I spend half my time on the road, the road traveling allowed me to see a lot of the heart of Jamaica. I am happy to say that I spend my 24th birthday just 3 weeks after Jamaicas 50th independence day and Usain Bolts recent Olympic Victories. I have much respect for Jamaican people, lifestyle and culture as much of the island is poor. In addition to rich culture and beauty, Jamaica is home to great music. Aside from wishing i stayed in Negril for a second night, this trip was a huge accomplishment in regards to future travel alone. I learned how to use other currency versus my own and i know how I should blend in with locals if necessary. lol
Happy Travels and I wish peace, love, and prosperity to this beautiful island. ONE LOVE

A Tourist's Guide to Montego Bay, Jamaica
With an 8-hour layover in Montego Bay, I decide to see the sights. I grab a guide and head to see an old slave owner's house, then head into the city to see the hustle and bustle of the centre. Then we head up into the hills to see the giant Red Stripe sign and to get a good aerial view. Finally, I get to see some the beaches that Montego Bay is famous for.
Traveling to Jamaica in 2019 | FACTS YOU BETTER KNOW!

This week we are discovering Jamaica! Jamaicans are very proud of their island and their people. “Out of Many One People” In today’s insider video, you will begin to see, what I see, and deepen your understanding of this island nation, you will see why and understand why so many visitors return year after year.
This is a several part series and you’ve tuned into Jamaica’s Fast Facts!, Creative Accomodations
*All-Inclusive Resort. It was Jamaica the pioneered the all-inclusive concept and continues to perfect it with client-delighting features like butler service and swim-up rooms.
*Villa Rentals. It was Jamaica, too, that developed the villa rental concept in the Caribbean, and today’s rentals villas range from beachside cottages to full-on estates with butlers, chauffeurs, and chefs.
*Boutique hotels. Although Jamaica didn’t invent boutique hotels, Jamaica believes they are among the most original and wonderful in the world, with everything from tree houses to mountainside huts.
Natural Diversity
Between Jamaica’s high mountain peeks and its offshore coral shelf, nature has worked her own inspired magic, creating hundreds of species found nowhere else on earth. This makes the island a magnet for birdwatchers, divers, and even scientists.
Shores. Jamaica has long stretches of watersports-friendly, postcard perfect white sand beaches, but it also has black volcanic sands and dramatic cliff-framed coves.
Inland. Jungle-like mountains and mangrove forests are laced with racing rivers, waterfalls and healing hot springs.
Amazing Adventures. While carefully preserving the gifts of nature, Jamaica continues to unleash their creativity by finding new ways for visitors to enjoy their country’s beauty. Iconic adventures such as climbing Dunn’s River Falls or rafting down the Rio Grande have been joined by ziplining and flying through the jungle canopy on a roller coaster, challenging the Cockpit Country’s nearly 300 caves and explorations on mountain bikes, horseback or camel.
Rich History. For visitors, Jamaica’s rich heritage comes alive as you tour plantation great houses, historic sites, and rural mountain villages where the unique culture of the Maroons is shared through drumming and storytelling. Jamaica’s beach towns have their own stories as well, from Errol Flynn’s wild Hollywood parties on Navy Island off Port Antonio and the posh pampering of the 50s jetsetters in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, or Negril’s flower children days.
The Vibe. One of Jamaica’s best known exports is reggae, the soundtrack to many Jamaican experiences, and the music many carry home with them as souvenirs. Reggae is celebrated in many festivals throughout the year, including Reggae Sumfest and Rebel Salute. Enthusiasts can visit the childhood and adult home of legendary reggae artiste Bob Marley, who’s credited for bringing reggae music to the world.

CHUKKA TOURS ????????????????❤️????????
Wataguan mon?! ✌???? ????
Welcome to Jamaica, the fourth largest island country in the Caribbean ????
Hotel: Deja Resort ????
Positives:
Super delicious food, kind service, nice balcony view, clean, close to the beach across the street (Doctors Cove)
Negatives:
frequent wifi issues
Unsanitary/low end gym
Uncleaned pool
Located near unsafe local hustlers (Beach closes at 8pm for this reason)
I give my stay here a 4/5 ⭐️rating
CHUKKA TOURS: ????????????
ATV-SAFARI ADVENTURE:
What a fun and exciting time I had, definitely need to have some arm strength to last through this whole bumpy up hill-down hill muddy trail. However, when you get up the last thrill hill, the view at the top is undeniably beautiful ⛰. Tour guides are super friendly and helpful ☺️
LAND/WATER HORSE-RIDE:
Firstly, id like to mention that all the work horses are well taken care of, fed properly, loved and have shift changes over frequent periods of time, so no need for worrisome during this experience ????
Beautiful scenery & story telling throughout the trail. The only disturbance I had was when we entered the ocean, hearing the struggling noises from the horses they would make from trying to walk through the waves. Although I know it causes them no pain, it was just uncomfortable to hear for me personally. Overall, lovely experience.
Overall Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️
Lastly,
ABOT DA WEED MON?! ????????????
Definitely some dope stuff! all home grown, completely accessible (almost too much) straight off the airport your offered all kind of goodies which can be a pro and con. Throughout your entire stay you'll be offered left right and centre to the point where it gets a little forceful and slightly intimidating. Understandably, this is probably a main source of income for a lot of local hustlers (sadly ????) there should be some regulation to this approach in my opinion to avoid that uncomfortable feeling, but its definitely super cheap and clean. A 20 sack is like a quarter... SO generally speaking ONELOVE & puff puff
Enjoy your stay in this lovely island!

Here we go again!
We board a flight from Amsterdam and in 9 hours we are in the Caribbean. After a layover of just a couple of hours on Curacao, we fly on to Jamaica. We land in Kingston around 11 am local time. The air is hot, but not too humid.
We have a 3 hours layover, so we decide to get out of the airport and go have lunch in Port Royal, half an hour away on the coast. It's a bit of a ghost-town, once a very rich merchant harbor, destroyed at the end of the seventeenth century by a powerful earthquake. It looks like it never really recovered…
We eat lunch in a small fish-restaurant, famous for its snapper. But I eat jerk chicken because I am picky with my fish, and the jerk-spices here are amazing!
Of course we drink some Red Stripe beers, and Simon and myself decide it's time to find some weed. It does not take long before we hit the jackpot: literally on the side of the local Police station, along the seaside, there are some barracks and shacks; inside a group of Rastas is busy cleaning and chopping weed and rolling it up in small balls, using rolling papers as containers.
We ask if we can buy some, and the guys are thrilled. It's cheap, less than 1 Euro per gram. But it's a bit bitter, very leafy, and we enjoy it just because it's been a while since we smoked in Amsterdam! Some of the Rastas in the back are smoking crack cocaine in a glass pipe, the smell is terribly sour. They ask if we like some, and we politely tell them we are just here for the ganja; they nod, and scream Jah Rastafari!
We sit and smoke a joint with them, and chat a bit about the local weed, and the cops. It's incredible that this is all happening next to the Police station.
We leave as soon as the joint is over, and we go back to the restaurant to join the rest of the crew.
It's time to get back to the airport and catch a Jamaican Airlines flight to Montego Bay, where our local contacts are waiting. The flight is really short, under half hour, and we arrive in MoBay before sunset. Bigga, Shanti, Nampo and Taleban are waiting for us and it's great to see them again; Arjan and myself spent some crazy days with these guys not long ago, during our scouting trips on the island.
These guys are a tight crew, and they are going to take care of us during the next days of this filming trip.
Nampo is a older Rasta, wise man, with lots of contacts and very respected.
Taleban, his friend, is a grower and a smuggler, a real pirate and one of the funniest guys we ever had with us during our expeditions.
Bigga is our driver/bodyguard, he's a man of the road and he knows who and what you need to know to keep us safe.
Shanti is a local singer, a reggae artist with an amazing talent and a great personality. I know him since he was 10 years old, back in 1994, when I spent a few weeks near where he lived with his father (the man supplying me with fine herb at the time). It was really special to find Shanti during our scouting trips back in July, he's now a grown up man… and I am getting old! Shanti will come along and make sure the soundtrack of our travels is inspiring and inspired.
We get the cars, two Toyota Fortuner, and we load up the mountain of gear we are carrying. Then we drive down to Negril in the sunset light, and when we arrive it's already dark. We decide to spend the first night at the Blue Cave Castle, a really cozy place on the rocky cliffs of Negril.
It's another true 1994-flashback for me, this is one of the places where I stayed when I was a 20-years-old ganja-traveler, already a Strain Hunter without knowing it…. Of course to make the flashback even more intense the same room where I slept then is available, so I take it.
It still looks the same.
We are tired from the long travel, and we decide to go for some food. Unfortunately the chef is sick, so we decide to find something not too far away. We hit a jerk-chicken stand by the side of the road and we eat like there's no tomorrow.
After a few Red Stripes and a few joints we go back to the hotel, where we smoke some good amount of high-grade weed, and some gum, the local finger-hash.
The weed is definitely an indica-cross, it tastes sweet and strong, and they say it's from a site not too far from where we are. We make a plan for tomorrow, and we go to sleep. Jamaica is great. It's a true privilege to be here again.
Jah Bless!
And now we are back with MisterX pics, the man is a true artist..... enjoy!
