James Island County Park - South Carolina
This wonderful 643-acre park has a wide variety of activities and facilities to offer. Features include a tidal creek fishing area, paved trails, bicycle rental, pedal boats, kayak rentals, playgrounds, a spray/play fountain area, picnic tables, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, dog park and the Splash Zone waterpark.
RV Camping-Dreher Island State Park-South Carolina
This week we rv camped and stayed for 3 nights in Dreher Island State Park near Lexington South Carolina! We were once again visiting Alli's brother in Lexington while camping at Dreher Island which was only a few miles but nearly an hour drive as it would take 10 minutes just to drive through the park to the exit and then all the way around Lake Murray!
We learned some interesting family facts along the way about Lake Murray and Alli's family ties to that area and the Wyse Ferry Bridge.
It was a beautiful park with the fall leaves in full color and most certainly we will stay here again in the future. A lot of the sites are waterfront with great views of Lake Murray.

Charleston is the oldest and second-largest city in the U.S. state of South Carolina, the county seat of Charleston County, and the principal city in the Charleston–North Charleston–Summerville Metropolitan Statistical Area. KOA Charleston Holiday Campground Review || Full Time RV Living
We stayed at KOA Charleston in Ladson, SC for two weeks in May 2018. This definitely wasn't one of our favorite sites but not a bad option if you are in the Charleston area. We wanted to stay in a few other locations but due to poor planning over the Memorial Holiday, this was the only campground with availability.

In the summer of 2018 we traveled across the south to see family in North Carolina. On our way there we spent two nights RV camping in Kings Mountain State Park. Kings Mountain State Park is located on the northern edge of South Carolina just south of Charlotte North Carolina.
The Area around Kings Mountain State Park is of huge historical importance to the history of the United States as this was where a very important battle took place, The Battle Of Kings Mountain. Kings Mountain State Park provides you with a great place to camp in your RV but be advised that Kings Mountain State Park is a bit on the rough side.
