James Norman Halls Home
You'll love this hidden Pacific gem, which celebrates the life of the colourful character, James Norman Hall.
A famous American writer, adventurer, soldier, pilot and poet, he is best known for co-penning The Mutiny on the Bounty. James Michener described Hall as the 'most beloved American that ever came to the tropics'.
Hall lived in the colonial homestead situated near the edge of Matavai Bay (not far from where Bligh anchored the Bounty) from 1920 until his death in 1951.

Papenoo Beach (Chinaman's Bay) in Tahiti is an exposed beach and point break that has fairly consistent surf. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. Offshore winds are from the south. Beware of rips and sharks.

Omoo A Narrative of Adventures in the South Seas Full Audiobook by Herman MELVILLE

Omoo: A Narrative of Adventures in the South Seas
Herman MELVILLE (1819 - 1891)
Omoo: A Narrative of Adventures in the South Seas is Herman Melville's sequel to Typee, and, as such, was also autobiographical. After leaving Nuku Hiva, the main character ships aboard a whaling vessel which makes its way to Tahiti, after which there is a mutiny and the majority of the crew are imprisoned on Tahiti. The book follows the actions of the narrator as he explores Tahiti and remarks on their customs and way of life.
Many sources incorrectly assert that Omoo is based on Melville's stay in the Marquesas. The novel is, in fact, exclusively based on his experiences in the Society Islands. (Summary by Wikipedia)

language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.

SUMMARY
=======
The Pitcairn Islands (; Pitkern: Pitkern Ailen), officially Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno Islands, are a group of four volcanic islands in the southern Pacific Ocean that form the sole British Overseas Territory in the South Pacific. The four islands – Pitcairn proper, Henderson, Ducie, and Oeno – are scattered across several hundred miles of ocean and have a combined land area of about 47 square kilometres (18 sq mi). Henderson Island accounts for 86% of the land area, but only Pitcairn Island is inhabited.
Pitcairn is the least populous national jurisdiction in the world. The Pitcairn Islanders are a biracial ethnic group descended mostly from nine Bounty mutineers and the handful of Tahitians who accompanied them, an event that has been retold in many books and films. This history is still apparent in the surnames of many of the islanders. Today there are approximately 50 permanent inhabitants, originating from four main families.
