St Lucia. St.James's club. Joy's Cruises.

What a great vacation!! Highly recommended St.James's Club Morgan Bay, St.Lucia. Great food, service and accommodations. Happy hour at the pool at 3:00 daily was always entertaining. Joys cruises is a tour company that operates right off the beach. Speed boat ride to the Pitons, snorkelling, mud bath, lunch at Joys house(very good) and Rum punch for the boat trip back to the resort. We opted for the Heli ride back to the airport. A great way to finish off an amazing week.

These are the highlights of a family trip to St. Lucia. This was the experience of a lifetime. St. Lucia is the most beautiful island I have ever traveled to.

Traveled from Toronto to Rodney Bay
Stayed at the Papillon By Rex Resorts: I highly recommend this resort; small but charming; home to some spectacular views; very clean; delicious food; staff is amazing. If you're looking for a party look elsewhere, the Papillon is a place to relax. The highlight for me was the beach. Crystal clear, calm waters with a lovely view of Pigeon Island.

Sites visited: Rodney Bay; Marigot Bay; Castries, Soufriere, Diamond Falls, Tet Paul Nature Trail, Pitons, Sulphur Springs, Soufriere Drive In Volcano, Gros Islet - Street Party

*We hired Stanis Taxi Service for a private tour of the sites listed above. This was the highlight of the trip.

Bel Jou to Vigie Beach, Castries March 2019

We recently stayed at the lovely Bel Jou Hotel in St Lucia. It sits on a ridge high above Castries commanding fantastic views. The Hotel runs a shuttle service to Vigie Beach - about 5 minutes drive away. People often ask whether it is walkable. Watch this video and the return journey to make up your own mind. Personally I wouldn't dream of it given the distance, the heat and steep slopes - you have a friendly, skilled local to take you there for free! Vigie Beach is a great long, sandy and quiet beach.

This is part 1 of 3 showing a Viking Cruises narrated tour bus ride from Castries to the wedding venue Stony Hill on the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean in the West Indies on March 2, 2018. This is essentially a panoramic bus tour of St. Lucia. Also, if you notice carefully, there are no house numbers, street or road signs or highway signs anywhere in this video. How St. Lucia survives and delivers mail without any street names or numbers is beyond me but they make it work somehow. Most of the panoramic tour was in the ride from Castries to Stony Hill. I have posted a separate video showing the return from Stony Hill back to Castries. That would be the functional equivalent of part 4 of a panoramic bus tour of St. Lucia. So, if you want to see the whole island you need to watch parts 1 to 3 of this plus my additional separate video from Stony Hill to Castries.

My family used Janus Services for our transfer shuttle to and from St. James Club Morgan Bay, we were greeted on arrival by a courteous driver who gave us cold bottles of water, we were transferred in a comfortable air conditioned vehicle and the driver told us lots about the Island on our 1 1/4 journey. The same on return when we had Janus father drive us, telling us about farming on the Island (he is a farmer) and also stories of his sheep/pigs/goats - a very chatty and funny return journey to the Airport, we left just ahead of the Hotel shuttle which meant we avoided the airport queues!

Thank you to the team for your efficient service and communication - great value for money for a private transfer.

We booked this trip by contacting Cosol Tours via email. All the information on the website was highly informative and the owner, Nereus, was very happy to answer questions promptly via email. We were met along with about 20 other people from our cruise liner and were introduced to our drivers for the day. We were very pleased to be placed with Livingstone as we had our own new clean air conditioned vehicle and private guide for the day with other passengers. There were a large number of appropriate stops for photos, food tastings (a huge array of foods for breakfast both sweet and savory), rum tastings(!) Piton Beer all fruit drinks all FREE flowed at will. Stops at banana plantation, BEST BANANA EVER ! drive in volcano, mud baths, waterfall, speedy water taxi to a private beach at the foot of the Pitons for an hour's free time to allow for snorkeling or sunbathing. Other Cosol vans in the group stopped at the agreed places and we met up regularly with the 'party bus' which carried local Piton beer, amazing rum punch, spiced rum, water and sodas. We were all in a great mood it has to be said! Nereus himself even stopped by to meet with us and make sure we were all happy before we continued with the trip. I would give our driver, Livingstone, five stars as he was friendly and informative and very efficient at getting us back to our cruise ship in time despite the heavy traffic. On the way back we stopped at a local bakery for hot bread and cheese before returning to our cruise ship tired but very happy. The trip is advertised as 5-6 hours, but may take longer.This trip is excellent value and such fun, professional and amazing value -- don't hesitate to book it!

The Warm Baths St Lucia, September 26, 2017

We finally found the Warm Baths... aka Piton Falls and Mineral Baths near Sugar Beach on St. Lucia. A short hike takes you down into the ravine at the pools near the bottom. Hot/warm water comes from the Soufriere volcano and is caught here for a nice relaxing bath. The guides bring coca beans, fruit and coconuts for you to taste. It's a very inexpensive way to end a long day of exploring.
