Jamwai (also spelled as Jamway / Jamwa) Mata Temple is Situated at Jamwa Ramgarh in Jaipur. Jamwai Mata is the Kuldevi of Kachhwaha Raj Vansh of Amber - Jaipur. The temple is located near Ramgarh Dam Jaipur.

Jamwa Ramgarh also popularly known as the Ramgarh, is a subdivision of the Jaipur district in Rajasthan, India. It is located on State Highway 55, about 28 kilometres (17 mi) East-North of Jaipur city. It was best known for Ramgarh Lake which is now dry.

This place, Jamwai Mata temple is not so far from Jaipur which is my home town. It's only 30 kms from center of the city but it took me so many years to visit this divine place surrounded by hills. My bad. But as wise people say it's never late.

I visited Jamwai mata temple with my old friend Uri Shekhawat. He came from Australia and wanted to seek blessings of goddess Jamwai Mata as she is his kul devi. So we went there for darshan.

जयपुर के नजदीक और रामगढ़ झील से एक किलोमीटर आगे पहाड़ी की तलहटी में बना जमवाय माता का मंदिर आज भी देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में बसे कछवाह वंश के लोगों की आस्था का केन्द्र बना हुआ है। जमवाय माता कुलदेवी होने से नवरात्र एवं अन्य अवसरों पर देशभर में बसे कछवाह वंश के लोगों की यहां आते हैं और मां को प्रसाद, पोशाक एवं 16 शृंगार का सामान भेंट करते हैं। बच्चों के मुंडन संस्कारों के लिए भी कछवाहा वंश के लोग यहां आते हैं। कछवाहों के अलावा यहां अन्य समाजों के लोग भी मन्नत मांगने आते हैं। यहां पास ही में रामगढ़ झील एवं वन्य अभयारण्य होने से पर्यटक भी बड़ी संख्या में आते हैं।

Jamwai Mata Temple Ramgarh LakeJaipur.

This temple is located downstream from Ramgarh Lake in greenery bound area. Jamwai mata is the Kuldevi of Kachhwaha rajputs(Rajawat, Shekhawat etc.). The temple of goddess was built by Rao Dulherao of Kachhwaha clan in Jaipur near present Ramgarah Lake and later it is called Jamwa Ramgarh by the name of goddess Jamwai. Previously this town was known as 'manch' and there was a temple of budhvai mata ji and the statue is still there in the same temple. It is much accepted view that Rao Dulherai had a dream about Jamwai Mata who directed him to conquer the area and when he won the war with local Meena Landlord he renamed the town 'Maanch' as Jamwa Ramgarh. This is a devotional shrine for the whole of the Kachwaha Rajputs.

Jamwai Mata Ji also known as Jamwa Mata is situated at Jamwa Ramgarh near Jaipur is the family deity (Kuldevi) of Kachhwaha Rajput clans like Shekhawats, Nathawats, Rajawats, Narukas, Khangarots, Jasrotias and so on. The holy temple was built in the 11th century by Kachhwaha Rajput ruler Duleha Rao Ji. The geographical location of Jamwai Mata temple is around 30 Km in the North-East direction of Jaipur. जयपुर के कछवाहा राजवंश की कुलदेवी जमवाय माता का प्रसिद्ध मंदिर जयपुर से लगभग 33 कि.मी. पूर्व में जमवा रामगढ़ की पर्वतमाला के बीच एक पहाड़ी नाके पर रायसर आंधी जाने वाले मार्ग पर हरी-भरी पहाड़ियों की घाटी में स्थित है।  जमवायमाता के नाम पर ही यह कस्बा जमवा रामगढ़ कहलाता है।
वर्तमान में जमवा रामगढ़ को जयपुर की जल आपूर्ति के लिए बने विशाल बाँध के कारण जाना जाता है। यहाँ पर पर्यटकों का तांता लगा रहता है। जमवाय माता का यह मंदिर रामगढ़ बांध से लगभग 2 कि.मी. दूर है। सुरम्य हरियाली से आच्छादित मनोहर प्रकृति की गोद में स्थित जमवायमाता का मन्दिर बहुत ही आकर्षक दिखाई देता है।

Ramgarh Lake was an artificial lake situated near Jamwa Ramgarh in Rajasthan, India. The last time the lake received water was 1999 and it has been dry since 2000. It is situated 32 kilometres (20 mi) from Jaipur, and covers a maximum area of 15.5 square kilometres (6.0 sq mi). At one time the lake was the main source of water supply to Jaipur City. It was a popular picnic spot, particularly after the rainy season.
During the 1982 Asian Games the rowing events were held on Ramgarh Lake. Localities believe that the water body has died a premature death due to the carelessness of state government. In 2011 the Rajasthan High Court had ordered the district administration to remove numerous encroachments that came up in the catchment area halting the free flow of water to it. However encroachment in the catchment area of dam still prevails and there is little hope that the water will be recharged.
