- भगवान परशुराम के पिता भृगुवंशी ऋषि जमदग्रि और माता राजा प्रसेनजीत की पुत्री रेणुका थीं। ऋषि जमदग्रि बहुत तपस्वी और ओजस्वी थे। ऋषि जमदग्रि और रेणुका के पांच पुत्र रुक्मवान, सुखेण, वसु, विश्ववानस और परशुराम हुए। एक बार रेणुका स्नान के लिए नदी किनारे गईं। संयोग से वहीं पर राजा चित्ररथ भी स्नान करने आया था। राजा को देख रेणुका उसपर मोहित हो गईं। ऋषि ने योगबल से पत्नी के इस आचरण को जान लिया। उन्होंने अपने पुत्रों को मां का सिर काटने का आदेश दिया। किंतु परशुराम के अलावा सभी ने ऐसा करने से मना कर दिया। परशुराम ने पिता के आदेश पर मां का सिर काट दिया। क्रोधित पिता ने आज्ञा का पालन न करने पर अन्य पुत्रों को चेतना शून्य होने का श्राप दिया, जबकि परशुराम को वर मांगने को कहा। तब परशुराम ने तीन वरदान मांगे...
- पहला, माता को फिर से जीवन देने और माता को मृत्यु की पूरी घटना याद न रहने का वर मांगा।
- दूसरा, अपने चारों चेतना शून्य भाइयों की चेतना फिर से लौटाने का वरदान मांगा।
- तीसरा, वरदान स्वयं के लिए मांगा, जिसके अनुसार उनकी किसी भी शत्रु से या युद्ध में पराजय न हो और उनको लंबी आयु प्राप्त हो।
- पिता जमदग्रि अपने पुत्र परशुराम के ऐसे वरदानों को सुनकर गदगद हो गए और उनकी कामना पूर्ण होने का आशीर्वाद दिया।

I would like to share my travel story for Janapav Kuti. I wanted to visited some other place before visiting that place. but the availability of transport is less and train timings are also not so good. so I had decided to visit this. so i took a paid jeep and reach to one circle to catch the bus to reach to this place.
its super cheap to reach there. but this is not simple tourist spot. to reach on the top is hard part. you need your own vehicle or hire someone or wait for lift.
When I reached to nearest spot to Janapav Kuti. one uncle met me. I asked about how to reach to Janapav Kuti. he said go straight and I asked that what is there on the mountain. so he told me full story of that place. it was quite fun. but after that real struggle started. I keep walking and walking but nobody is going to there and some people are going they don't have space in their car or bike.
I get first short lift. and i reach at NO MAN land. nobody is there. i wait there and take some photos and when some car come there i asked for lift but most are full. because its a weekend picnic place. so most people come with their family so they don't want to give lift.
one police man also come but he said that their is some problem in his bike engine else he love to give lift.
I started walking again but i thought if i reached on mountain curves or slopes nobody can stop their cars there to give me lift. so i wait there. and after some cars rejections. one Jeep stopped. some family hired a jeep and driver was kind with me. but they really don't have space inside the jeep so i hanging up on one door of the jeep and driver was driving jeep so fast on the curves. oh my god. it was really deadly experience. But in few mins we reached on the pick and the location is so awesome.

The river Chambal which flows through the dacoit infested areas of Northern India is said to begin at the hill of Janapav which is in a village named Kuti,around 15 km from Mhow town. On top of the hill of Janapav is a temple and ashram. According to local legend this used to be the ashram of Jamadagni, the father of Parashurama (an Avatar or reincarnation of Vishnu, the Hindu God of sustenance). A mela, or religious fair, is held at Kuti every year on the auspicious day of Kartik Purnima - the first full moon after Diwali, which is also celebrated as Guru Nanak's birthday by the Sikh community - and people from villages far and near come to pray and pay their obeisance. The next day the same mela shifts to the Balaji temple in Badgonda village. The river Gambhir which eventually joins the Kshipra - the river on whose banks the ancient, holy city of Ujjain is built - also begins at the hill of Janapav. From there it flows north towards Mhow.
The place on Agra- Mumbai Road Around 35 Kms. from Indore towards Mumbai, is the starting point of track to Janapav Hill(lord parshuram birth place). from the right of KUTI VILLEGE a road goes in, to a villege named HASALPUR... which is famous for their MITHE BALAJI TAMPLE. AND HAVIN A 200 year old BAVDI of {THAKURSAHEB.SHRI TIKAM SINGH CHOUHAN}

As per the legend, it is the birthplace of Lord Parshurama, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, and is considered sacred by the Hinducommunity. At the top of the hill, there is an ashram of Jamadagni, the father of Parashurama. His mother Renuka was a renowned medical practitioner and had then grown a variety of herbs on the hill and its surroundings. As per some reports, even today, many Ayurvedic doctors from across the country arrive at the hill in search of herbs.
As per the folklore, twelve rivers originate from the tank situated on this hill, including Chambal, Saraswati & Nakheri.
The place is well connected and transport is available to visit Janapav from Indore and Mhow. Also, private lodges are available to stay.

तो हम जा रहे है जाम दरवाजा देखने के लिए जो कि इदौर से 50 किमी दूर है । आप सोच रहे होंगे इस दरवाजे का नाम जाम गेट क्यों पड़ा। कहीं यहां पर गाडियों का जाम तो नही लग जाता है या फिर मौसम का कोई और जाम । इन्ही सभी सवालों के जवाब के लिए मै आपकों आज यहां लाया हूं। तो चलिए करते है यात्रा जाम गेट की औऱ जानते है क्या खास है ये दरवाजा। कहा जाता है कि इंदौर की रानी अहिल्या बाई इसी रास्ते से महेश्वर से इंदौर जाया करती थी। उस समय इंदौर से महेश्वर का यही एक मात्र रास्ता हुआ करता था। इसी दरवाजे के पास एक छोटा सा गांव है जिसे छोटी जाम कहां जाता है उसी गांव के नाम पर इस दरवाजे का नाम जाम गेट रख दिया गया। अब ये दरवाजा इतनी फेमस हो गया है कि मानसून के दिनों में हरिभरी वादियों के बीच बना ये दरवाजा पर्यटकों से सरोबार रहता है। यहां पर काफी नेचर लवर आते है तथा फोटोग्राफी के शौकिन लोगों के लिए तो ये जगह जन्नत से कम नही है तो दोस्तों उठाइए अपना बेग और गाडी औऱ चले आइए इस गेट से खूबसुरत नजारे औक मौसम का आनंद लेने के लिए....तो दोस्तों कैसा लगी आपको आज कि ये विडियों यात्रा ...एसे ही एडवंचर्स और ट्रेवल विडियों को देखने के लिए मेरे इस चैनल को सब्सक्राइब करना ना भुले और बेल आइकन पर क्लिक जरूर करें ताकि आपकों मेरे विडियों सबसे पहले मिल सके। साथ ही इस विडियों को लाइक , शेयर और कमेंट बोक्स पर अपने सुझाव जरूर लिखे । थैंक्स दोस्तों इस प्यार के लिए
जाम गेट के अंदर एक खुफिया रास्ता भी है जिसके मदद से आप दरवाजे के टोप पर पहुंच सकते है। मगर यहां रोशनी बिलकुल भी नही है तो आप मोबाइल कि लाइट का सहारा ले सकते है या फिर ट्रोर्च साथ लेकर जाए। हम उपर जा रहे है । दरवाजे कि बीच में एक शानदार होल भी है। यही से एक सीढ़ी दरवाजे के छत की तरफ जाती है तो चलिए चलते है छत की तरफ। अब हम खड़े है दरवाजे के सबसे उपरी हिस्से पर जहां से चारों तरफ का हरियाली की चादर औडे वादिया और खुबसुरत विह्गम नजारा दिखाई दे रहा है। वाह क्या बात – सच है एमपी गजब है....
