The concept of the Jang-e-Azadi memorial and museum is based on a circular enclosure which houses the focal centre of the memorial and integrates it with a harmonious ensemble of galleries amplifying the struggle and sacrifice for freedom around a ceremonial path. However the institutions representing auditorium, library and restaurant can function as autonomous units in independent buildings.
The aim is to design a lively museum which involves not only the surrounding community but also an important place for tourists.

Jang-e-Azadi Timing: 10am – 6pm (Sunday to Saturday)
Jang-e-Azadi Entry Tickets – 60 Rs. For Adults, 40 Rs. for age group 4 yrs to 17 yrs and No Ticket for kids upto 3 yrs.
Jang-e-Azadi Laser Show Timing: 7pm to 8:00 pm.

Jang-e-Azadi Memorial is a memorial and museum being built in Kartarpur town of Punjab, India in memory of contribution and sacrifices made by the Punjabi community in Indian independence movement.The memorial would be built over an area of 25 acres at the cost of Rs 200 crore. Proposed design layout[edit]
The project is designed by a well known architect Raj Rewal .The design layout of the memorial, conceptualised and designed by him has been approved by the Government. As per the proposed design various galleries will be constructed to project the different movements of freedom struggle. There will be a tower also known as Shaheed-e-Minar . In addition to it an auditorium, movie hall, open-air theatre, amphitheater, library, research and seminar halls etc. will also be constructed as an integral part of the Memorial galleries[3]
