Trail Running in Busan, SOUTH KOREA || Jangsan Mountain & Waterfall Temple to Haeundae Beach
Jangsan Mountain is a popular hike for many people in Busan, as it offers a great overlook of the city and sea. In this run I meet my good friend Murray to run up and around the mountain. We get in some great descending, visit a peaceful temple, and finish the run at one of South Korea's most famous beaches, Haeundae. Come along with us for a run up Jangsan in Busan!

Jangsan Mountain & Busan Sand Fest
Enjoy this video of Jangsan mountain in Busan, South Korea. Good shots of the scenery and a few surprises along the way. Includes quick video of some of the sand castles present on Haeundae Beach for the final evening of the Busan Sand Festival.
Jangsan Peak Vista and Panoramic View - Busan, South Korea
This view to the south from Busan's Jangsan Peak includes the Asiad Stadium (built for the 2002 Football Worldcup) on the far right and Songjeong Beach on the far left. This view encompasses almost every major landmark in Busan including the Nakdong River, Taejongdae, Igidae Park, Gwangalli Beach (and bridge), Centum City, Dongbaek, Haeundae Beach, and Dalmaji Hill (viewing the image right-to-left). Although Jangsan Peak is Busan's third largest mountain (next to the second tallest Baekyangsan Peak and the tallest Geumjeongsan Montain, which is home to the famous Beomeosa Temple) it is arguably the best situated of the mountains. As such, Jangsan is Busan's most popular mountain to hike.
The trail systems leading up to Jangsan Peak offer every type of terrain and can be quite steep at times. There are waterfalls, temples, wide-open meadows, boulder fields, and a number of mountain restaurants where you can eat dubu kimchee and pajeon and also drink soju and makgeolli (always a highlight of hiking in Korea).

Who are we? We are Lynn & Noah Camp. A 30 something married couple from Tacoma, Washington U.S.A.
In 2010, we felt like something was missing in our lives. An ache for adventure that couldn't be satisfied by more possessions so we asked ourselves:
What would we do if we weren't afraid?
Within that question, we found our answer: we're here now, we're healthy now and we're not guaranteed any moment except for right now so with that in mind: we saved. sold our stuff, clawed our way out of debt, quit our jobs and on October 21, 2013 we hit the road and we've been having an adventure of a lifetime ever since! We travel, film, share, repeat. Enjoy!

South Korea Vlog 8: Hiking Palgongsan, Gatbawi, and Busan (AGAIN!)
It's officially been 4 months since I moved to South Korea. I've collected random footage over the last couple of weeks including hiking Palgongsan Mountain to Gatbawi in Daegu and traveling back to Busan with my partner in crime.
There were many recent moments that I didn't film, but they included coffee dates, coffee dates, and more coffee dates with some of my favorite gals here in Korea. Summer holiday plans are all falling into place so you can expect videos from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan in the coming months!
Jangsan Mountain
This mountain is located just twenty minutes by foot from my apartment. It was a key lookout point during the Korean War. Now it is a natural gym for Busanites.

Igidae Park Coastal Walk, Busan South Korea
Igidae Park is located over a hill from Yongha Sewage Treatment Plant in Yongho 3-dong, the eastern region where Jangsanbong Peak faces the ocean. Jangsanbong Peak rock cliffs boasts a remarkable scenery, which can only be viewed by taking a boat as the areas nearby the cliffs are too dangerous to hike. However, the cliff at the center of Igidae is not vertically steep, but creates a 2 km long almost horizontal slope that connects the mountain with the ocean. Not only does the slope offer an extraordinary view of the ocean waves, but also serves as an excellent fishing spot. The area was used as for military operation and prohibited from civilian access until 1993. You can see it in Busan, South Korea and this is one of the places I went to on during my stay as a Filipino on the Spring 2018.

KOREA BUSAN VLOG 2018 Day 3 - Hwangnyeonsan Mountain (황령산), Gamcheon Culture Village (부산 감천문화마을)
Day 3 of Busan. Overall was a great day. My Airbnb host took me up the Hwangnyeonsan Mountain, which requires a car to get up, so there is a lack of tourists. The views were heaps great from the top, since you're no longer bounded by glass and instead you are free to go.
After the mountain visit we went to eat Korean BBQ (which was not on this blog), then we went to see the Gamcheon Culture village. Got there by taking the Busan Metro and connecting via bus. Definitely a great sight to see, as it is the Santorini of Korea.
The next destination was Songdo beach, which was pretty underwhelming tbh. Then we travelled to the Jalgachi markets. Definitely worth a visit, and I had dinner there.
Dinner location:
- Jacky's Seafood
- Address: 52 Jagalchihaean-ro, Nampo-dong, Jung-gu, Busan, South Korea
- Phone: +82 51-246-2594
Then after it was just wondering around Nampo markets and then returning to the Airbnb.
