Sparkling Tasmania 2013
A year in Tasmanian sparkling wine. If you haven't tried enough of these wines from Tasmania, 2014 is the year to set that right.
Apogee Vineyard
A small and relatively new vineyard at Lebrina in the Pipers Brook region -- Apogee - has won the 2013 WFI Vineyard of the Year Award, which is conducted by the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania (RAST).
Some of Tasmania's finest vineyards entered for this year's Award which promotes excellence in Tasmanian viticulture management as the prime means to producing great grapes.
Well known Tasmanian Andrew Pirie, founder of Ninth Island, Pipers Brook, Pirie and South wine brands, established the vineyard in 2007. Apogee will host a field day for public and industry on June13 to share some of its viticulture secrets.
