Journées botaniques - Samoëns - 2019
Autour de l’emblématique jardin alpin La Jaÿsinia et ses 4 800 plantes des montagnes du monde, Samoëns organise les Journées botaniques, avec comme thématique cette année : le recyclage et l'utilisation de la nature pour la nature.
La Jaÿsinia est un des plus beaux jardins botaniques alpins de France. C’est Marie-Louise Cognacq-Jaÿ, fondatrice de La Samaritaine à Paris, qui a souhaité offrir ce joyau à sa commune natale. A l’occasion des 11èmes journées botaniques, les visiteurs pourront vivre une expérience sensorielle unique au milieu des 2 500 espèces de plantes de montagne présentes dans ce jardin !
Depuis plus d’un siècle, le jardin de la Jaÿsinia fait rayonner le cœur de Samoëns par ses plantes naturelles, provenant du monde entier, et son décor reflétant à merveille le patrimoine historique Septimontain.
Pour découvrir toutes ces richesses, le village haut-savoyard organise depuis 11 ans les journées botaniques pour que Samoëns cultive son jardin. Les 8 et 9 juin 2019, Samoëns propose des visites guidées pour aller à la découverte des moindres recoins et secrets de ce jardin botanique alpin.
Ces 2 jours sont également l’occasion de découvrir la nature sous de multiples angles comme le bien-être ou encore les insectes et la biodiversité. Jean-Marc Trenel, globe-trotteur et véritable chasseur d’insectes, viendra présenter une collection inédite d’invertébrés découverts lors de ses voyages. Pour pousser plus loin la curiosité des visiteurs concernant la biodiversité, des expositions se tiendront dans les rues du village et dans les écuries du château.
D’autres animations se dérouleront pendant 2 jours à Samoëns comme la rencontre avec des abeilles, une projection de film sur les insectes, des ateliers pour apprendre à jardiner avec des invertébrés ou encore des balades contées pour aller à la découverte des richesses patrimoniales de Samoëns.
En offrant ce jardin botanique alpin à Samoëns, Marie-Louise Cognacq-Jaÿ souhaitait que les visiteurs vivent une expérience inédite et hors du temps. Ces deux journées sont donc propices à l’évasion et à l’émerveillement au milieu d’un environnement naturel exceptionnel !

Ils ont été créés depuis plus de 30 ans par la famille Moumen, qui gère toujours les lieux, et sont visitables depuis 20 ans.
C'est un mélange merveilleux de fleurs et plantes, de bois, d'eau et de chaux.
Les intérieurs sont aussi splendides avec notamment une piscine intérieure, une jolie cuisine, une distillerie d'apothicaire, une herboristerie, des chambres d'enfants...etc

UNE TRANQUILLITÉ RÉINVENTÉE…
Situé à 500 mètres du centre village, ce vaste espace paysager se révèle idéale pour les familles et tous les inconditionnels d’une tranquillité réinventée.
On y accède librement en laissant sa voiture sur les parkings gratuits aménagés à proximité. La plage de sable et les pelouses ombragées bordent le plan d’eau dont une partie est exclusivement réservée à la baignade. Enfants et adultes s’y ébattent sans soucis sous l’œil des maîtres-nageurs. De nombreuses activités sont proposées au lac Bleu : parcours accro-branches, équitation, trampolines, jeux pour enfants, parc de jeux gonflables, Gyropode tout terrains, skate électrique, aires de pique-nique, terrains de pétanque, de volley, pêche, kayak, concerts et animations, bar-restaurant, etc.
La truite c’est gratuit : Les vacanciers en résidence à Morillon bénéficient d’une autorisation pour taquiner la truite sur les rives du lac Bleu…
TERRITOIRE DE RANDONNÉES…
Entre le lac Léman et Chamonix, département de la Haute Savoie, le Haut-Giffre correspond à la partie supérieure de la vallée parcourue par le torrent le Giffre. C’est un vaste massif de haute montagne qui s’étend, à l’Est, des hautes parois du Cirque du Fer à Cheval, ultimes remparts avant la vallée de Chamonix et à l’Ouest contre les massifs des Dents Blanches et du Ruan, massifs frontaliers avec la Suisse.
La vallée, sans issue, vient buter contre les vertigineuses parois du Cirque du Fer à Cheval. Son relief très marqué comporte d’imposantes falaises calcaires supportant de grandes étendues fissurées (dont les gouffres Jean-Bernard et Mirolda qui compte parmi les plus profonds du monde) ainsi que le désert de Platé, qui est une des zones de lapiaz les plus étendues de l’arc Alpin.
Le Giffre est un torrent impétueux long de 32 kilomètres, au cours non régulé. Son nom, d’origine Burgonde, signifie « grandes eaux ». Il est vrai que ce torrent au régime nival, dont les eaux prennent naissance avec les cascades du Cirque du Fer à Cheval et du glacier du Ruan d’une part et du Cirque des Fonts d’autre part, connaît des crues assez spectaculaires qui autrefois inondaient les villages limitrophes ainsi que la plaine de Vallon à Samoëns. Au fil des siècles, des digues en pierres ont été aménagées pour parer à ces débordements catastrophiques.
