Boy, is Jodhpur hot in April! And the hottest weather is yet to come!
We walked through Jodhpur fort, getting interesting information from our audio guides. We checked out the quiet and beautiful Jaswant Thada. Steve jumped off a 10 meters (or more?) cliff into an 1400 year old stepwell! And We saw a great sunset, amongst a bunch of fellow travellers atop Pachetia Hill. We really had a eventful and busy day. Altogether a great travel day.
There is a lot to see in Jodhpur. So much so, that we will have another video coming shortly. There's definitely more than one days worth of interesting stuff to check out, and the temperature made us cut our days short. We usually stopped exploring in the height of the heat, around 1-3pm.
But wow! Jodhpur is one of our favourite places we've been on our Rajasthan bus/train tour.

The Jaswant Thada is a cenotaph located in Jodhpur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in 1899 in memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and serves as the burial ground for the rulers of Marwar.
The mausoleum is built out of intricately carved sheets of marble. These sheets are extremely thin and polished so that they emit a warm glow when illuminated by the sun.
The cenotaph's grounds feature carved gazebos, a tiered garden, and a small lake. There are three other cenotaphs in the grounds. The cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh displays portraits of the rulers and Maharajas of Jodhpur.

ये हैं राजस्थान के जोधपुर शहर की एक खूबसूरत इमारत जिसे जसंवतथड़ा और मारवाड़ का ताजमहल भी कहा जाता हैं। जसवंत थड़े का निर्माण जोधपुर के महाराजा सरदारसिंह जी ने अपने पिता महाराजा जसवंत सिंह जी द्वितीय की याद में सन 1904 में शुरू करवाया जो 1910 में जाकर पूर्ण हुआ।
These are a beautiful building of Jodhpur town of Rajasthan which is also called the Taj Mahal of Jasvatthada and Marwar. Construction of Jaswant Thad, Maharaja Sardar Singh ji of Jodhpur started in 1904 in memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, which was completed in 1910.
