Nikmatnya Menyesap Kopi Luwak Asli di Kawasan Perbukitan Jatiluwih
TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Melihat butiran hitam kotor dan sebagian menyatu, pasti jijik. Namun setelah diolah, dari baunya saja sudah nikmat.
Apalagi disesap sambil melihat pemandangan nun indah dari cafe yang menghadap ke persawahan berundak.
Begitulah sensasi meminum kopi sambil melihat langsung proses mengolah kopi dari kotoran hewan luwak menjadi kopi super nikmat.
Tribunnews.com pekan lalu berkesempatan secara langsung melihat pengolahan kopi dari kotoran luwak, hingga dihidangkan di resto yang berada di perbukitan menghadap langsung ke areal persawahan yang menghijau.
Lokasinya restonya yakni di Jatiharum Luwak Coffe yang berada di kawasan Jatiluwih, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali.
Dari Kuta, perjalanannya sekitar 1,5 jam mengendarai mobil.
Jangan khawatir bosan. Sepanjang perjalanan bisa dinikmati keindahan alam berupa persawahan dan perbukitan yang hijau.
Kawasan Jatiluwih kini sudah meng-internasional namanya. Lantaran sawah dengan sistem Subak yang dijadikan Unesco PBB sebagai warisan budaya dunia.
Biar ngopi luwaknya terasa nikmat, terlebih dulu melihat areal persawahan berundak maha cantik di areal seluas 300 hektar.
Setelah kaki dan mata puas menikmati persawahan, barulah ke Jatiharum Luwak Coffe yang letaknya sekitar 2 kilometer dari areal wisata Subak Jatiluwih.
Suasana kafe Jatiluwih tak seperti kafe pada umumnya.
Masuk ke kafe, kita akan menyusuri terlebih dulu kebun kopi. Jalannya berupa jalan bercor berbentuk kotak-kotak dengan jeda tanah yang masih diekspos.
Jalanan dibuat berbelak-belok dan tak terlalu luas. Hanya pas untuk berjalan kaki satu arah sepanjang sekitar 100 meter.
Sebelum memasuki resto, akan tercium aroma nikmat dari biji kopi yang disangrai alias digoreng dengan tungku tanah.
Begitu mendekat, terlihat ibu berusia separuh baya sedang men sangrai kopi berwarna hitam-cokelat.
Itu kopi yang masih asli dari kotoran luwak, ujar ibu yang bernama Made Sekar.
Kopi dari kotoran luwak itulah yang kemudian diolah hingga menjadi bubuk kopi yang dihidangkan ke tamu coffe.
Di Jatiharum Coffe, rekomendasi penulis yakni meminum kopi dari koffe di lantai 2 yang ruangannya open space.
Di lantai dua itu bisa memuat 40 orang. Lokasinya nya persis di bawah rindang pohon.
Terlebih tempat duduknya yang terbuat dari sofa yang bisa diduduki dengan berbagai pose baik duduk tegap atau sembari tiduran.
Sebelum kopi luwak tiba, bisa berfoto ria di caffe tersebut. Sambil menghirup udara segar dan melihat sawah nan hijau berundak.
Di sana bisa memesan kopi luwak jenis arabica atau robusta. Harganya berbeda namun dijamin tidak akan kecewa.
Begitu kopi dihidangkan, rasanya tak sabar untuk menyesap. Aroma kopi luwak menguar sangat menggoda. Lidah pun tak kuasa menolak.
Paling pas meminum kopi luwak arabica tanpa gula.
Begitu disesap, maknyussss nikmatnya.
Apalagi, di coffe tersebut kita bisa memesan jenis makanan camilan atau makanan berat. Ada pizza, kentang goreng, pisang goreng dan lainnya.
Rasanya benar-benar pas. Tribunnews pun serasa enggan meninggalkan coffe tersebut meski sudah 1,5 jam lamanya. Suasananya benar-benar segar dan kopinya menggoda.
Sebelum pulang, pengunjung bisa membeli kopi yang sudah dikemas berbagai ukuran.(tribunnews/yulis)

The Jatiluwih rice terraces in the namesake upland village in West Bali are most famous for their dramatic and exotic landscapes. The cool highlands and the breathtaking scenery of this village at the foot of Mount Batukaru makes for wonderful photo opportunities, and serves as a soothing retreat away from the island’s crowded south.
Once a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site candidate, the Jatiluwih rice terraces comprise over 600 hectares of rice fields that follow the flowing topography of the Batukaru mountain range. These are maintained by a traditional water management cooperative known as subak, which dates back to the 9th century. The cooperative itself eventually won recognition as a dominant factor in Bali’s ‘cultural landscape’ entry on the heritage list.
Located about 700 metres above sea level in the Penebel district of the Tabanan regency, the drive up to the highlands of Jatiluwih from the island’s south takes about 2 hours.
You will find the largest and most picturesque expanse of paddies in Bali, and probably in the whole of Indonesia, here. Another sister area with similar views is the village of Pupuan, also in Tabanan. Lush green views will already come into view upon approaching the region, while the main vantage point lies further up in the village. Entrance to the main area requires a fee that goes to the local village cooperative fund, and which is usually covered by tour operators. Halfway up, the view is truly impressive, with 180 degrees of gently sloping terraces as far as the eye can see.

JATILUWIH rice terraces & Yeh ho waterfall! Our favorite place on Bali!
Welcome back to Bali! We continue exploring this beautiful island and go on a big road trip!
First, we visit an amazing Jatiluwih rice terraces (absolutely a must visit place!). We didn’t expect it but it totally blew us away with how massive and gorgeous it is! Endless kilometers of green field that you can ride/walk around or enjoy from a distance ????
These terraces are not the most popular ones that every tourist goes to, so it’s not overcrowded with people yet, visit it sooon!
(It’s turned out to be our absolutely favorite place on Bali, as you might already figured reading our excited description ????)
Then, we visited a nice little waterfall just about on the corner of the terraces -
Yeh Ho (Air Terjun) or Yahoo! waterfall as we called it ????
Lovely place to chill and relax, and I think you can even swim in it a little if you’d like ???? (we didn’t though as we had huge plans for the day ahead of us and as we got hungry from walking in the nature all morning so we went on a mission to find some food and found .... you’ll see it in the next vlog! There is a small sneak peak at the end of this episode ????
