ONE OF THE BEST PICNIC SPOTS IN CHHATTISGARH
जतमई - घटारानी मंदिर,गरियाबंद (Jatmai-Ghanarani Temple,Gariyaband)
जतमई: गरियाबंद में रायपुर से 85 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित है। एक छोटा सा जंगल के खूबसूरत स्थलों के बीच सेट, जतमई मंदिर माता जतमई के लिए समर्पित है। मंदिर खूबसूरती से कई छोटे शिखर या टावरों और एक एकल विशाल टॉवर के साथ ग्रेनाइट के बाहर खुदी हुई है। मुख्य प्रवेश द्वार के शीर्ष पर, एक पौराणिक पात्रों का चित्रण भित्ति चित्र देख सकते हैं। जतमई की पत्थर की मूर्ति गर्भगृह के अंदर रखा गया है
यह घने जंगलों से ढंकी है और यहां कल-कल बहते पानी की आवाज सुनना बहुत ही सुकूनदायक लगता है। यहां कल कल करते झरने बरबस ही लोगो का मन मोह लेते है जतमई अपनी प्राकृतिक सुंदरता के लिए प्रसिद्ध है प्रति वर्ष लाखो सैलानी यहाँ आते है ।और पिकनिक का लुफ्त उठाते है यहां का झरना प्रशिद्ध यही लोग अपने आप को इसमें भीगने से रोक नहीं पाते । जतमई प्रकृति की गोद में बसा है यहाँ आकर आप पर्वत चढ़ने का भी मज़ा ले सकते है।
जतमई मार्ग पर और भी पर्यटक स्थल है यहाँ पास में छोटा सा बांध है यह पिकनिक स्पॉट भी है, जहां आप नहाने का भी मजा ले सकते हैं।
पटेवा के निकट स्थित जतमई पहाड़ी एक २०० मीटर क्षेत्र में फैला पहाड़ है, जिसकी उंचाई करीब ७० मीटर है. यहां शिखर पर विशालकाय पत्थर एक-दूसरे के ऊपर इस कदर टिके हैं, जैसे किसी ने उन्हें जमाया हो. जतमई में प्रमुख मंदिर के निकट ही सिद्ध बाबा का प्राचीन चिमटा है, जिसके बारे में किवंदती है कि यह १६०० वीं शताब्दी का है. बारिश के दिनों झरनों की रिमझिम फुहार इसे बेहतरीन पिकनिक की जगह बना देता है , यहाँ पर्यटक नहाने का बहुत आनंद उठाते हैं|
