This is a palace which is located at Jawahar,Maharashtra. Also the movie Grand Masti 3 has been shot here. Unfortunately cameras weren't allowed inside the palace. Otherwise I could have showed the place where the movie has been shot.

The Jai Vilas Palace is the most popular historic tourist attraction in Jawhar. This neoclassical style palace was built by Raja Yashwant Rao Mukane. This palace is also known as Raj Bari and used to be a residential palace of the Mukane royal family. Built on a hill top, this palace is a master piece of architecture with blend of Western and Indian styles of architecture in majestic pink stones. The interiors of this palace display the rich culture and lifestyle of tribal kings of Mukane family. The palace is surrounded by a beautiful garden with a dense forest like foliage, having trees of Cashew everywhere.

Jawahar hill station in Maharashtra is a nice spot amidst the tribal region of Maharashtra. Tribal people of Jawahar whole heartedly welcome all tourists!

Elevation/Height: 518 meters above MSL.
Best Time To Visit: All year round, but the ideal time to visit this hill station is July to February.

Location: 80 kms from Nashik & 121 kms from Mumbai, Palghar district, Maharashtra (India).

Being home to one of the rare tribal parts of Maharashtra, Jawhar is among the less explored places in Maharashtra. Even today, tribal communities like Warli, Kolcha and Kukana stay in this region. Jawahar hill station in Maharashtra is located at the height of 518 meters from mean sea level. Earlier it was popularly also called as a ‘Mahabaleshwar of Thane district’ but now this place comes under the newly formed district of Palghar.

Cultural heritage, pleasant climate and scenic beauty of Jawhar have started pulling a lot of tourists to this spot. It is covered by full of thick forest and plenty of fresh air because of which this spot remains pleasant throughout the year. The Stone Used For This Is #Syenite Which Was Brought From #Sakhara Which Is Far 12km From It's Location. It Is Said That When Work Of Palace Was Complete, The Quarry Which The Dtone Was Extracted Was Broken Down And Now The Geological Department Of Government Of #India Has Taken Up The Quarry. The Jawahar Palace road.

Jawahar Palace road. Its in Palghar, one of the extreme ends of the western suburbs of Mumbai. This road and this route has mostly remained untouched especially with the bikers. So me and my friends thought why not explore it. So here it is. In my next round of videos I will also be going through some remote locations of Jawahar. Jawhar, located in the Sahayadri mountain range, 165 km from Mumbai, is popularly known as the Mahabaleshwar of Thane (since it was located in the Thane district of Maharashtra. It is now a part of the newly-created Palghar district). Pleasant climate and scenic beauty of Jawhar evokes comparisons with the popular hill station in Maharashtra. Jawhar also boasts of strong cultural ethos and a history that dates back to the 14 th century. The place is built in the Syenite stone, brought from an quarry at Sakhara, which is 12 km from its location. It is said that when the work of the palace was completed, the quarry from, which the stones were extracted was broken down and covered; the exact location of the quarry is lost in time. The Geological Department, of Government of India has now taken up a task to locate the lost quarry. Due to its unique architecture style and location, the palace has featured in several films in Marathi and Hindi.

Dabdaba Fall of Jawahar- Maharashtra

Dabdaba Falls, one of the attractive falls in Jawahar, is placed perfectly to soothe the visitor's body and mind with natural scenery and fragrance. The whitish gushing water cascading from the rock faces makes this waterfall highly attractive. The surroundings are densely forested and provide a serene location for seclusion seeking travelers. The area is unpolluted and unspoiled without much modern developments and luxuries.

Hello there,

Today is 30th July 2017, and we GIXXER CLUB MUMBAI is riding to JAI VILAS PALACE & DHABOSA WATERFALL. The distance from Fountain Hotel, Thane (Meetup point) to Jai Vilas Palace is 109 Kms and from Palace to Dhabosa Waterfall is approx 25 kms.
Jai Vilas Palace, or the Raj Bari. This regal structure, belonging to the erstwhile tribal lords, is surrounded by extensive cashew plantations spread over a massive area.
Inside the palace, the hall has some lovely portraits of the Mukne clan. Upstairs is the children’s nursery, drawing room, some intricate antique furniture items, the royal bedroom, the obligatory stuffed tigers, loos the size of bedrooms and a huge lobby. The guest section is locked but the guide informs us that every now and then important guests come and stay here.
