My China 2015: Summary of Our Trip
During this trip, I was blessed to visit Guangzhou, Shanghai, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zencheng and Hong Kong. It truly has been an eye opening experience and from the moment I set foot in Beijing, I was highly amazed and was quickly immersed into a culture that has forever peaked my interest. Most things were very different from my expectations...Quite frankly, I'm not even sure what my expectations were but I was pleasantly surprised....continue reading:
SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND | Charli in China
In November 2016 I went on an amazing adventure for two weeks to China with my boyfriend and best pal Andrew.
We flew from the UK to Shanghai, then went to West Lake Hangzhou and Huangshan Mountain before flying into Beijing and exploring the Great Wall & Forbidden Palace. The trip ended back in Shanghai at Shanghai Disneyland!
The final part of my adventures in China - Shanghai Disneyland
Hope you enjoy!

Anika goes to China: Beijing (Part I)
Hello world! During my senior year in highschool, I won first place at a national Chinese speech competition, and won a free trip to China for an international Chinese speech competition held by the Chinese government. So on October 2nd - November 15 last year, I traveled to Beijing, China! Part I covers my week long stay in Beijing, while Part II will cover Kunming, China. I had an amazing experience in China due to the unbeatable combination of an eclectic mix of humans and cultures from all around the world, phenomenal street food, new transoceanic friendships, and of course, the beautiful sights of China (whether that refers to attractions like the Great Wall or a simple alleyway stumbled upon while exploring).
Special thanks to Hanban/Confucius Institute for covering my flight and accommodations in China, as well as for giving me this unique opportunity!
And thanks to I-Chu Chang for being an amazing Chinese teacher throughout high school. Couldn't have done it without you!

How President Xi Jinping is transforming China at home and abroad
Chinese President Xi Jinping’s philosophy has been written into the country’s constitution. He has sought to raise the standard of living at home, while boosting China’s power and influence across the globe. But critics accuse him of consolidating power and creating a campaign of oppression against the Chinese people -- especially those who disagree with him. Nick Schifrin reports from Beijing.
Correction: Some of the images of the Chinese military were incorrect in the original video. They've been replaced.
