OK travel bugs, this was INSANE. I honestly thought we were going by motorbike and was ready for the occasion. Turns out they had the jeep available that day and we drove it along the Vietnam coastline. BREATHTAKING! This was definitely one of those “wow, I can’t believe I did that” travel moments.
While you can take a shuttle bus or the train, both those options don’t allow you to see Vietnam’s amazing coastline views. Consider taking a private motorbike, jeep, or car option to get the most out of your time!
Here’s some destinations we visited during the drive from Hue to Hoi An:
-Fishing village
-Hai Van Pass is a long mountainous stretch of road in Central Vietnam that juts into the sea. An incredibly beautiful path to ride on on motorbike or…jeep!
-My Khe Beach, R & R Beach is a beach in Danang, a white sandy 20-mile stretch!
-Marble Mountain is a cluster of limestone hills, caves, tunnels, and temples. A seriously fascinating site to visit in Vietnam!
-Danang is the largest city in Vietnam in terms of population - wow!
-Hoi An Ancient City
I flew into Hue instead of Danang because it was cheaper, so I had to travel down South to get to Hoi An :) Hope that helps with navigation!
If you've made it this far...give the video a big thumbs up! You're epicly awesome.

MY SON HOI AN JEEP ADVENTURES | UNESCO Sanctuary Temple Tour | Vietnam Travel Vlog 077, 2017
BEST Hoi An tour 2017! My Son Sanctuary is a UNESCO site in Hoi An, central Vietnam. mỹ sơn Sanctuary is a holyland made up of temples and ruins with an incredible story to be told behind it's history - it made for a great travel vlog.
Hoi An Jeep Adventures was the greatest company to visit My Son with, it was literally the best Hoi An Tour we did after spending 3 months in Vietnam! They offer all sorts of Central Vietnam Tour options with jeeps, take a look here to see them all: or flick them an email for custom tours: tours@vietnamjeeps.com
In this travel vlog, from October 2017, we rode along with Hoi An Jeep Adventures on the half day My Son Explorer tour in the coolest war Jeep! Hoi An to My Son is less than an hour but the tour stops off at a few local stops to give you a feel for the local life in Vietnam. Seeing various temple styles and seeing the ruins was great with an informative guide, Tony, which added a lot of context to the story and why/how it is a UNESCO heritage site.
If you're planning a visit, we can't recommend the Central Vietnam My Son Tour enough!

DMZ Bar – 60 Le Loi str, Hue city, Vietnam
DMZ TIC (DMZ Tourist Information Center) is located on the first floor of the DMZ Bar with the main objective to assist local and international visitors and to promote quality destinations and services throughout Vietnam.
It was established in 2008 by the current owner today who has grown DMZ Tourist Joint Stock Company into one of the most accomplished in the industry. Le Xuan Phuong is a simple and open minded man who has made many accomplishments by the age of 33.
Phuong was born in a poor, minute and remote village located in Quang Tri Province. After he grew up and ventured off to Hue University of Foreign Languages, he then began his quest for life with empty hands. Since 1996 during his time at Hue University, Phuong met travelers as a receptionist and as a tour guide.
After he graduated, he worked for a state company and in 2002 he decided to pursue his dream in the tourism industry. He learnt a lot about businesses and the tourism industry through self teachings. He gained much experience while working and developed his corporation. Phuong was highly successful in all aspects of his businesses. There are many more ideas Phuong is looking to implement in his ever developing corporation. His family, friends and business partners are constantly supporting him in his new ideas to accomplish his dreams. Phuong not only looks to help develop tourism in Hue city or Quang Tri but also Vietnam-a beautiful country that is so abundant with culture.
On September 9th, 2008, the DMZ Tourist Joint Stock Company officially inaugurated in an effort to increase present services as well as create new tourism services that are available locally, nationally, and internationally. Also mobilizing shares and capital of cooperative members to continuously promote the development of Vietnam’s tourism industry is another goal of the DMZ Tourist Joint Stock Company.
In April 2010, the DMZ Hotel opened, located at 21 Doi Cung st., at the heart of Hue city. The hotel is located near many entertainment spots, shopping centers, food courts, and late night bars making it extremely convenient to anyone staying there. The hotel is a great addition to the DMZ Joint Stock Company which further increases the availability of luxury and relaxation to tourists coming to Hue city.

GOOD MEMORIES DURING THE HANOI-HUE BIKING TRIP OF THE US AMBASSADOR TO VIETNAM - MR. TED OSIUS
On January 30, 2016 the biking trip of the U.S. Ambassador - Ted Osius arrived in the Imperial City of Hue ending an 840km cycle tour that departed from Ha Noi to promote the collaboration between the two countries in many fields.
The 7-day bicycle trip “US - Viet Nam: A New Journey” aimed to underscore the importance of economic growth, health care and cultural heritages, educational exchange and environmental protection to mark a new period of bilateral ties. On this trip, the team cycled through 7 provinces and visited beautifully natural and cultural spots of Viet Nam such as Cuc Phuong National Park, Phong Nha - Ke Bang, Phuoc Tich Ancient Village…
Contributing to the success of the trip was the great work of Asia Pacific Travel Company. According to the Ambassador Ted Osius, he had a great time and everybody enjoyed the trip. “We have a great support from the team, the planning was really good and I am very happy with the services”, he said.
