This is my first view of the sea in the summer of 2009. At the time of writing - 27 June 2009 - it has not been too impressive. There were some wonderful days in May as can be seen in my films from the Czech Republic but June has been a complete washout in most of Europe north of the Alps.
Jelitkowo (formerly Glettkau) is the northernmost part of the city of Gdańsk. As can be seen, it has beautiful sandy beaches, the town became known as an Ostsee-Bad Glettkau in the nineteenth century. There is an old tram route, which was built from Danzig, the main city, to tram loop in Glettkau. It now runs from Gdansk to Jelitkowo.

W Jelitkowie na plaży sport a na deptaku kuracjusze i emeryci na wakacjach mają balangę. Kiedyś byłem dwa razy z babcią na wczasach w Jelitkowie. Czas płynie a Jelitkowo babcia z dziadkiem. Może to dobrze bo nie wszędzie może być balanga i jakaś zmiana tempa się przydaje.
