Jells park has lakes in the middle of it so I took some images. Sun was fairly strong on the day so sorry about some glare.

Jells Park Fireworks 2018 - Monash Carols by Candlelight
You know what I love about the Jells Park Monash Carols by Candlelight Fireworks? The fact that you can stand 30 meters close all the way up to the safety fence. So close that you can feel the sound waves travelling through your body. This year the fireworks show was cut back short to 6 minutes from the usual 9-10 minutes of previous years which left us underwhelmed. That being said this is still the best Fireworks you'll find anywhere in Victoria and way better than the Melbourne *cough* Fireworks. The video quality has been improved this year as I have upgraded to an LG V30. Since I was so close I filmed most of it on that incredibly useful wide angle camera.

30 years celebrating the Spirit of Christmas
Sunday 9 December 2018
4pm-10pm
Jells Park
Wheelers Hill 3150
This year the celebrations at our annual Monash Carols by Candlelight on Sunday 9 December will be bigger than ever as we recognise 30 years of bringing joy, fun and the spirit of Christmas to the thousands of people who attend every year.
Our FREE annual carols concert in Jells Park, Wheelers Hill usually attracts 25,000 people, the largest crowd of any community carols across Melbourne. It features wonderful carols from a host of performers and a spectacular fireworks finale that lights up the sky.
The event will kick off at 4pm with the Kids Tinsel Town which includes free rides and activities for children and an opportunity for a photo with Santa (so bring your camera along).
The main concert will get underway at 8pm, featuring an impressive line-up including Mirusia Louwerse, an Australia-Dutch soprano, Josh Piterman, an award winning musical theatre star, Aydan Calafiore, The Voice 2018 runner up, and Natalie Ong, a singer-songwriter from The X-Factor 2016.
The Monash Carols by Candlelight Band and the Exaudi Choir will entertain and perennial favourite Channel Nine’s Pete Smith will again compere the carols. Glow novelties and a selection of drinks and food will be available for purchase.
-Monash Carols by Candlelight is a drug, alcohol and smoke free event
-Please leave your four-legged friends at home as the fireworks can cause distress to animals
-Bring a torch, comfortable shoes, picnic rug and warm clothes
-Parking is limited so plan your journey.
