The Jennie Wade House - Gettysburg, PA.
The Association of Paranormal Study has investigated the Jennie Wade House a few times. Jennie Wade was the only civilian to die in the Battle of Gettysburg. We hope you enjoy this little tour of this historic site.
During our investigation, we conducted the Ganzfeld Experiment.

Many claims state that both Jennie and her father haunt this small home as both of their apparitions have reportedly been seen over the years. Her father’s presence is often associated with the basement where Jennie's body had been placed while the family waited out the last days of battle. The feeling down there is often described as utter sadness. More recent accounts point to something a bit darker. Perhaps it’s not even of the same time frame based on what we encountered.
Children's voices are also heard throughout the home. Some claim they have even felt a small hand grab theirs. Could the close proximity of the Children's Orphanage have something to do with this?
Jennie Wade was the only civilian killed during the Battle of Gettysburg. She was killed in the kitchen on July 3, 1863, while making bread for the soldiers at her sister's Baltimore Street house. Ironically, Jennie moved to this location from her own home in town, as it was thought to offer a safer refuge from the battle.
Jennie and her family (sister and mother) began handing out water and food to the defeated Union soldiers passed by. As the next two days passed, the home was riddled with over 150 bullet holes, but this did not dissuade Jennie from doing her part to help the Union army.
While intent on making biscuits and bread, Jennie continued undaunted until about 8:30 am, when a Confederate ball penetrated the kitchen door. It pierced the open front room door leading to the kitchen, before striking Jennie below the left shoulder blade, fatally damaging her heart. The home is said to be haunted by both Jennie Wade & her father, who never recovered from her untimely death.
Our investigation was a bit rushed as we only had the house for two hours. We made a quick decision to focus on the upstairs bedroom and basement. The house is very small, and we felt there would be too much bleed through to separate and investigate different areas simultaneously. After trying some different means of spirit communication we recorded a chilling evp on our camera as we asked any spirits that were present to come forward.
We headed down to the basement a bit earlier then anticipated due to the level of street noise we were encountering. The whole mood began to change as soon as we descended those basement stairs. The vibe was very dark. We initially captured some evps of a woman and a child, but there was also a strange male voice that proved to be rather disturbed. A very intense situation seemed to be unfolding around us as the voices of children seemed to be intermingling with this strange male were emanating from who seemed to be from another time and place. The air in the room seemed to thicken with torment as our evening came to an abrupt close.
*While in the basement, we mainly experimented with our Portal Boxes in conjunction with the Paranormal Puck. We run our box exclusively with the P-SB7 while Ron and Lourdes tend to favor the apps such as Echo Vox and Portal Plus. To be honest, we normally shy away from using these apps that use pre programmed phonemes. Having said that, we must admit some of the results were very compelling. At one point the Portal Plus even responded to a word the Paranormal Puck picked up.
This home has its share of residual activity like much of Gettysburg, but I must say the basement has an entirely different vibe, which was confirmed by the gentleman who let us into the house. We felt we were dealing with intelligent spirits as well as some possible bleed through from the nearby orphanage. Things can get dark down there as we witnessed.
It leaves us wondering if restless battle weary spirits of other wars are drawn to the energy that envelops Gettysburg and other such locations throughout the world.
Pictures from Gettysburg! (Battle fields, Jennie Wade House, and Orphanage)
These are all the pictures I got from my trip to Gettysburg. If you have any questions please, ask away! The first 17 pictures are from when i was on the double Decker bus tour. They are mostly of the battle fields. The next 20 or 21 are of the Jennie Wade House tour, by Ghostly Images. The 3rd and 4th pictures in that set, is the spot where Jenny Wade was making bread when the stray bullet went through the two doors ( which you can also see) and killed her. The next 7 after that are from the haunted orphanage tour. Those have quite a few orbs in one of them. Then the rest of the photos are from the museum and visitors center, along with about 15 from the Devils Den battle cite.

Historic Gettysburg | Jennie Wade House & Rupp House
In this episode we wander the streets of historic downtown Gettysburg. The details of the architecture really caught our attention; the bricks, the stone siding, and bright red doors. We visit the Rupp House which was unexpected on our visit, but we saw the Free Admission sign in front of it, and decided to give it a go, and it was so interesting! We highly recommend it. The Jennie Wade house is super interesting as well, which we also think you should visit if you are in the Gettysburg area.

I went to the Jennie Wade House on a Ghost Tour in Gettysburg, Pennnsylvania. What I think I caught is pretty cool. Now, I can't be sure that what I have is orbs of light because there were so many flashes going off, but whatever I caught is interesting and raises questions. This video was taken in the basement of the Jennie Wade House where her father is said to roam restlessly.

Real family catches real and amazing disembodied voice in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania!
The idea for Haunted Family originated in the battlefields of Gettysburg Pennsylvania. We were just wondering whether EVPs caught on digital voice recorders were real. We got the answer, and it was more than we bargained for. Listen to one of our REAL catches. We are not catching low-quality audio that could just be a noise... we get REAL interaction that is beyond a doubt direct responses to our questions. This is NOT fake, NOT a trick... the voice you'll hear is a REAL ghost.

Halloween 2012 - Haunted Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (Farnsworth House Inn)
Take a tour of one of the most haunted places in United States - Farnsworth Inn in Pennsylvania.
Welcome to the historic Farnsworth Inn. Come with me as we take a haunted tour. This is our main dining room, the mead room. These are Confederate soldiers that are now looking at the house to occupy in order to fire on Union troops on Cemetery Hill. A nineteen-year-old girl was staying with her sister who had just had a baby on top of Cemetery Hill. Those boys were firing at Union soldiers that were trying to get in the door in the early morning hours. The girl was struck in the back and killed. Many people who have stayed at the Farnsworth House have seen the ghost of Jenny Wade wandering the corridors, looking for the Sloan soldier that had killed her in life and ask for his forgiveness.
And on this very staircase in the Farnsworth House, many people have seen a Confederate soldier, and his one arm is hanging lifeless on his side and there is blood down his arm and down the front of his chest, and he is pleading for someone to help him. This is the John McFarlane room, one of the many Victorian rooms found her at historic Farnsworth House Inn. About two years ago in October, there were two firemen who stayed in this room. They had settled in for the evening. They heard this banging sound and these footsteps outside the door. They sort of rose up in bed and then they looked over and they saw the rocking chair on the other side of the room deliberately starting to rock as if someone was in it.
You are now descending into the cellar of the Farnsworth House. The Morning Theater where we tell all of the stories of our fourteen ghosts that now haunt the Farnsworth House today. A few years ago, I was telling stories myself and I was standing in this very spot and as I told the story, I looked back and I noticed that Mary, a woman that I had seen a couple times before, was standing at the bottom of the stairs. She was transparent and I could actually see the undertaker sign beyond her body. And I looked over and I wanted to see if there was anybody in the audience that saw her, and I noticed that there were four people sort of elbowing each other, pointing where Mary was standing. I proceeded to tell my stories and then after it was over, this young boy came up to me and said, those were really cool special effects, where is your projector at? Thank you for joining us on a haunted tour of the historic Farnsworth House Inn. Hope to see you soon.

Gettysburg 2017: Day 1
I spent a weekend in Gettysburg in early November 2017 and decided to make a video blog documenting the trip. In this installment, I explore key sites of the first day of battle, July 1, 1863: McPherson Ridge, Barlow's Knoll, the death of General John F. Reynolds, and capture of Brig. General Archer. I've been learning a lot about this Civil War battle, but I also learned not to eat a powdered doughnut before recording a vlog. Join me as I explore many aspects of the Gettysburg battlefield and check out my other journeys at
