This time we visited Jervaulx abbey (near Masham) and Byland abbey (near Coxwold) both in Yorkshire.

This region is steeped in history, just a few miles up the road is Middleham Castle once home to Richard the Third!

Jervaulx Abbey & Danby Hall, Yorkshire Dales - 13 June 2015
A 7 mile circular walk from Cover Bridge Inn, first heading east along the banks of River Ure to Jervaulx Abbey and then onto Kilgram Bridge before returning along the northern side of River Ure via Thornton Steward and Danby Hall.
