Jervis Bay Holiday Park, Jervis Bay NSW
214. Jervis Bay Holiday Park
The Jervis Bay Holiday Park is just a short 5 minute drive to all the spectacular beaches and National Park walks of the Jervis bay and Huskisson region.
We loved the good sized sites with plenty of space.
The Camp kitchen is excellent with great BBQ’s, plenty of seating, a TV and a drinks machine.
For the kids there’s a Jumping castle and good playground for them to enjoy.
The Pool is perfect and includes a fun slippery side and there’s a heated spa.
There’s a good amenities block available and the park backs onto the river if you want to try some fishing or launch a boat.
The Park is pet friendly and we had good Telstra & Vodafone coverage.
If you don’t want to pay the premium prices of the parks backing onto Huskisson Beach this is an excellent option.
Cost to stay is $40 per night. We paid $33 for the night with our National Seniors card discount.
Our stay was 11-14th February 2019.
Safe travels

Ep.16 - Steamers Beach - Booderee National Park
Down on the southern edge of the Booderee National Park is a jaw-droppingly rugged beach called Steamers. Framed by huge rocky headlands and backed by 130m dunes swept there by a massive tsunami 9,000 years ago, it's one of the most amazing beaches on the south coast of New South Wales. So, please join me as I show the place off and, if you enjoyed the video please hit those Like and Subscribe buttons. :)

JERVIS BAY AREA // MURRAYS BEACH, HUSSKISON, HYAMS BEACH & BRISTOL POINT BEACH
Just when you thought the South Coast of NSW couldn't get any better, it did!
Classified with the whitest sand in the southern hemisphere Hyams Beach is a tourist spot in this area which you have probably hear across somewhere in your travels. But take it from a local, its over rated. Why not check out one of these other beaches around the area like Murrays Beach or Bristol Point Beach?
In this video Meg takes us to the Jervis Bay Area and shows us some of the amazing beaches you can expect to find around this area. My fave beach is Murrays but I was blown away by how stunning Bristol Point Beach as was and the fact I had never discovered it before just blew my mind.
Jervis Bay Area is about 1.5 hours north of Batemans Bay and a couple hours south of Sydney. The township of Huskisson is always bustling and there are great eateries and boutique shopping to be discovered. You could certainly make a weekend of it and get out of the city as there are a range of accommodation options in the town and I believe there are also some amazing camping spots just outside of the township.
If you would like to check out any of these spots we will include the links to each of the beaches seen in this video below:

Beautiful pristine beaches, an amazing big bay, and all the nature you can handle.

Check out this beautiful location.
Nearby towns of Vincentia and Huskisson have all the accommodation and food needs. There is also great fishing and the beaches are amazing.

212. Honeymoon Bay Campground, Beecroft Weapons Range, Jervis Bay NSW
One of our favourites stays in Oz, this is bush camping at its best.
The Honeymoon Bay Campground in the Beecroft Weapons Range at Jervis Bay in NSW is only open on weekends. It is owned by the Royal Australian Navy and has live firing during the week.
The gates open at 1pm and you go through a checkpoint before entering. We arrived about 12.30pm and we were one of the very last in the queue and were there about an hour, so we suggest arriving by midday which is when they begin to take bookings.
Once you arrive head to the information centre and go through the booking process. There is no online booking.
Take cash, there is no Eftpos and payment is by cash only.
All sites are unpowered and there is no drinking water available.
There are portable toilets throughout the campground and bins are also available.
No pets are allowed.
We had coverage with Telstra and Vodafone.
Flying Drones are not allowed in Jervis Bay region by CASA Can I Fly There app however further research suggests it may be possible on weekends but we didn’t use ours.
The Point Perpendicular Lighthouse is a short drive away and there are lots of great walks to places like the 5km round trip to Silica Cove Beach which was stunning. Here we came across the rusted wreck of the St Martins De Porres.
Cost to stay is $15 per site for 2 adults. Extra adults are $5 each and children 15 and under are free.
Our stay was 8-9th February 2019
