AMAZING MEXICO, COZUMEL, MEXICO TRAVEL, ISLA MUJERES, INCREDIBLY CLEAR WATER, MEXICAN BEACHES
AMAZING MEXICO, COZUMEL, MEXICO TRAVEL, ISLA MUJERES, COZUMEL MEXICO, Cozumel (Mayan: Island of the Swallows) is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, opposite Playa del Carmen. It is one of the eight municipalities (municipios) of the state of Quintana Roo. Cozumel is a popular tourist destination renowned for its scuba diving. The main town on the island is San Miguel de Cozumel.
The island is about 48 km (30 miles) north-south and 16 km (10 miles) east-west, and is the largest Atlantic island of Mexico. It is about 20 km (12 miles) from the mainland, and some 60 km (36 miles) south of Cancún. The vast majority of the population of Cozumel lives in the town of San Miguel (pop. 71,401 in 2005), which is on the western shore. The rest of the island is low, flat, and densely vegetated. Cozumel has tropical savanna climate under the Köppen climate classification that closely borders on a tropical monsoon climate.[11] The dry season is short, from February to April, but even in these months precipitation is observed, averaging about 45 millimetres (1.8 in) of rain per month. The wet season is lengthy, covering most of the months, with September and October being the wettest months, when precipitation averages over 240 millimetres (9.4 in). Thunderstorms can occasionally occur during the wet season.[12] Temperatures tend to remain stable with little variation from month to month though the temperatures are cooler from December to February with the coolest month averaging 22.9 °C (73.2 °F). Owing to its proximity to the sea, the island is fairly humid, with an average humidity of 83%.[12] The wettest recorded month was October 1980 with 792 millimetres (31.2 in) of precipitation and the wettest recorded day was June 19, 1975, with 281 millimetres (11.1 in).[12] Extremes range from 9.2 °C (48.6 °F) on January 18, 1977 to 39.2 °C (102.6 °F). Tourism, diving and charter fishing comprise the majority of the island’s economy. There are more than 300 restaurants on the island and many hotels, some of which run dive operations, have swimming pools, private docks, and multiple dining facilities.
Other water activities include para-sailing, kitesurfing, and a tourist submarine. There are also two dolphinariums. At the cruise ship docks there are several square blocks of stores selling Cuban cigars, jewellery, T-shirts, tequila, and a large variety of inexpensive souvenirs.
San Miguel is home to many restaurants with a huge variety of different cuisines, along with several discothèques, bars, cinemas, and outdoor stages. The main plaza is surrounded by shops; in the middle of the plaza is a fixed stage where Cozumeleños and tourists celebrate every Sunday evening with music and dancing.
All food and manufactured supplies are shipped to the island. Water is provided by three different desalination facilities located on the island. Scuba diving is still one of Cozumel's primary attractions, mainly due to the coral reef on the western shore of Cozumel. These coral reefs are protected from the open ocean by the island's natural geography. In 1996, the government of Mexico also established the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, forbidding anyone from touching or removing any marine life within the park boundaries.[18] Despite the importance of healthy reefs to Cozumel's tourist trade, a deepwater pier was built in the 1990s for cruise ships to dock, causing damage to the reefs, and it is now a regular stop on cruises in the Caribbean. Over the past few decades, coral reef health has significantly declined in Cozumel, with much lower coral cover now present than was historically recorded.[19][20]
Cozumel seen through the eye of Hurricane Wilma
The island was struck directly by two Category 4 hurricanes during the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season. In July, Hurricane Emily passed just south of Cozumel, exposing the island to the storm's intense inner core. Despite Emily being a powerful storm, it was the larger, stronger, slower-moving Hurricane Wilma that caused the most destruction when it hit the island in October.[21] Wilma's eye passed directly over Cozumel.
There was some damage to the underwater marine habitat. This included the coral reefs, which suffered particularly at the shallower dive sites, and the fish that inhabit the reefs.
The island is about 48 km (30 mi) long The majority of the island's population lives in the town of San Miguel (pop. 77,236 in 2010),[5] which is on the island's western shore. The municipality, which includes two small areas on the m Cozumel is a flat island based on limestone, resulting in a karst topography. The highest natural point on the island is less than 15 m (49 ft) above sea level. The cenotes are deep water filled sinkholes formed by water percolating through the soft limestone soil for thousands of years. Cozumel's cenotes are restricted to qualified cave divers with appropriate credentials.
December 2016: Cancún
An adventure well deserved immortalized out of the bounds of time. Cancún, Mexico is an extremely beautiful and relaxing vacationing spot for anyone looking for an ocean side view, great service, and tropical weather.
All the footage was recorded on the GoPro Hero 5.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The most fun activities that was ATV driving in the rain. However, cameras are not allowed so there is no footage of it behind the wheel in this video. Nevertheless, we got soaked by cold, muddy water and later, soared high with zip-lining across the property.
The most beautiful location was Isla Mujeres, an island-town north-east of Cancún. Traveling by boat is required and can make some sick to the stomach. But, the view is gorgeous and once you are off the boat, you may see fish swimming in the water like we did. Though activities are not plentiful and can be underwhelming, such as an okay zip-line experience, a painful kayak experience, and nothing to see at the bottom of the sea when snorkeling, it is the iguanas as well as the sights to see off the cliff sides that make for a magnificent time. The island also offers swimming with the dolphins as well as plenty of souvenir stores.
The coolest activity was the underground cave and cenote exploring with Río Secreto. Once again, cameras were not allowed to be brought into the caves, as well as any electronics, jewelry, and topical ointments to preserve the water and surrounding cave formations when in the caves. The guides are extremely friendly and you are ensured to be wowed by what the caves behold.
Cancún, Mexico is a vacation to remember because of its beauty and the friendliness of the people living there.

Playa Del Carmen Shopping Guide - YouTube
Used to that before travel I would try to do some last minute shopping at home which was not easy because summer stuff was not available in the stores that were stocked for winter clothing. That meant specialty aka expensive stores.
No more. There is great shopping available in Playa Del Carmen along 5th Avenue, at the shopping mall or even a new Walmart.
Selection is good, prices affordable.
CANCUN, MEXICO: DAY 6
Went out tequila tasting, visited a jewelry shop (I don't think we were allowed to film in there?), and went shopping in the city market. 5th ave? 105th ave? I can't remember.
Mexico Vlog 2020 - Playa Del Carmen, Isla Cozumel & Mujeres
In this 4K Mexico Vlog 2020, we visit Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Tulum, Isla Cozumel, Chichen Itza, Cenote Ik kil, Riviera Maya and Playa Del Carmen 2020. You can find everything about those places, best spots, boat tours, Mexican culture, foods, handmades, transportation, city walks, beaches and useful informations about things to do that you will need around Quintana Roo & Yucatan areas.
In 4K Mexico Vlog, first day we took a boat tour to explore Isla Mujeres next to the Cancun. It is the fastest way to explore Playa Norte, underwater museum, coral reefs, island center and sailing around inside the canals around lagoons by boat. Also we tasted delicious Mexican foods and drunk tequila during the trip. There is crystal clear water all around the beaches. Especially in Playa Norte you can swim with fishes.
Next day we took a bus tour and first stop was Cenote Ikkil. Cenotes are a natural pits, or sinkholes, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. There are more than 6000 cenotes around the country.
Then we visited one of the largest ancient Mayan site Chichen Itza. El Castillo, also known as the Temple of Kukulcan, is a Mesoamerican step-pyramid that dominates the center of the Mayan Ruins. Mayans used mathematics and astronomy science to build the pyramide. El Castillo have 365 steps and each for a day of the year.
Playa del Carmen is one of the top travel destination by tourists in Riviera Maya. The center is located near the sea and there are so many bars, night clubs, restaurants and cafes. We has some city walks in the day time and night. The city is highly popular because of lively nights and nightlife.
Cozumel Island is one of the most popular and safest touristic destination in Quintana Roo. We rented a car and visited all coastlines. Also we did some city walks around the city center.
Tulum is the ancient site of a pre-Columbian Mayan walled city, which served as a major port for Coba, in Riviera Maya and the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. There are many buildings from ancients Mayan times inside the area. It is located on a 12meter high cliff along the eastern shore of the Yucatan Peninsula in the Caribbean Sea. We also visited one of the famous beach club called Playa Paraiso and small cenotes in the region.

Tulum, Mexico, Nueva Vida De Ramiro March 2015
Hanging out in Tulum, Mexico for a week in March 2015. We stayed at the beautiful Nueva Vida De Ramiro along the beach road of Tulum. The Ola suite cabana sits directly on the beach with a commanding view of the Caribbean. There are several great restaurants within walking or biking from the hotel such as Casa Banana, Hartwood, Gitano, Posada Margherita, Zamas and Casa Jaguar.
The old town or puebla of Tulum is an easy bike ride away. Go there for amazing and inexpensive Mexican food as well as many great places to shop for home decor and jewelry etc.
We can't wait to visit again soon -

Cancun Hotel Zone 4K
A city in southeastern Mexico on the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. It is an important tourist destination in Mexico, and the seat of the municipality of Benito Juárez. The city is on the Caribbean Sea, and is one of Mexico's easternmost points. Cancún is just north of Mexico's Caribbean coast resort band known as the Riviera Maya. The city’s name is sometimes spelled Cancoon, an attempt to convey the sound of the name.
The island of Cancún was originally known to its Maya inhabitants as Nizuc Yucatec Maya meaning either promontory or point of grass. In the years after the Conquest, much of the Maya population died off or left as a result of disease, warfare, piracy, and famines, leaving only small settlements on Isla Mujeres and Cozumel Island.
The name Cancún, Cancum or Cankun first appears on 18th-century maps. The meaning of Cancún is unknown, and it is also unknown whether the name is of Maya origin. If it is of Maya origin, possible translations include Place/Seat/Throne of the Snake or Enchanted Snake. Snake iconography was prevalent at the pre-Columbian site of Nizuc.
There are several activities you can do in Cancun and the rest of the Riviera Maya. Here is a list of the most popular activities in Cancun. For the more advanced swimmers, the edge of the open ocean can make for a challenging and fun swimming experience. For less advanced swimmers, or those with little ones, pick a resort facing Isla Mujeres for a gentle and relaxing aquatic experience. The beaches are absolutely gorgeous and the water is crystal clear and warm. Most beaches along Kulkulkan boulevard in Cancun are public. All along the Kulkulkan boulevard you will see Acceso publico a la playa Hotels bordering the beach will generally not allow you to use their facilities, though if you order at their restaurant they may allow you to use the washrooms. For change from the beaches bordered by hotels, go to Playa Delfines (Dolphin beach), which has only change rooms and no commercial buildings in sight. It is located near the end of Kulkulkan at Km 17.5. Rumour has it the northern section is supposedly more frequented by gays.
Spending the day on the beaches of Cancun is not only an opportunity to relax, but to shop as well. There are a variety of items to be purchased from these vendors, items such as sarongs, jewellery, sea shells and more.

Chichen Itza was a large pre-Columbian city built by the Mayan civilization. This archaeological site is world famous, because of the Kukulkan pyramid and designated by UNESCO as one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World”. La Isla Shopping Village
On January 23, 1970, Isla Cancún had only three residents, caretakers of the coconut plantation of Don José de Jesús Lima Gutiérrez, who lived on Isla Mujeres. The first hotel financed was the Hyatt Cancún Caribe, but the first hotel built was the Playa Blanca, which later became a Blue Bay hotel. It is now named Temptation Resort.
The city began as a tourism project in 1974 as an Integrally Planned Center, a pioneer of FONATUR (Fondo Nacional de Fomento al Turismo, National Fund for Tourism Development), formerly known as INFRATUR. Since then, it has undergone a comprehensive transformation from being a fisherman's island surrounded by virgin forest and undiscovered shores to being one of the two most well-known Mexican resorts, along with Acapulco. The World Tourism Organization (WTO).
Cancún had largely avoided the bloodshed associated with the trade of illegal drugs, but is known for its retail drug sales to tourists as well as for being a center of money laundering. The links with Cancún date from the 1990s and early 2000s, when the area was controlled by the Juárez and Gulf drug cartels. In recent years Los Zetas, a group that broke away from the Gulf Cartel, has taken control of many smuggling routes through the Yucatán, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
