Zhenjiang, formerly romanized as Chinkiang, is a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province, China. It lies on the southern bank of the Yangtze River near its intersection with the Grand Canal. It is opposite Yangzhou (to its north) and between Nanjing (to its west) and Changzhou (to its east). Zhenjiang was formerly the provincial capital of Jiangsu and remains as an important transportation hub.

Xi jin ancient ferry scenic spot in my hometown-Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu province of China

In ancient time, this place used to be a ferry to guazhou on the opposite bank of Yangtze River. But now, the river receded, so this ferry is a few hundreds away from the riverside，and also dozens of meters high from the ground. Government has developed this area recently, in order to show the waterfront feature of the city.

Let's climb to the top of the mountain (more like a hill) at Jiaoshan Island!

“山无人杂，静若太古。回首瓜州烟火城中，真如隔世。”寥寥几字，说尽焦山之妙。“新浴而出，走拜焦处士祠”足见作者对焦处士的崇拜之情。而到了祠内，见到祠内的布置，不由感到无奈，滑稽。“杜十姨配伍髭须”以幽默的比较表露出对土人的讽刺。
