Jilani Park - Race Course Park Lahore
The 161st Annual #Spring #Flowershow; (From 28 March to 4 April 2019) @ #JilaniPark (formerly known as #RaceCoursePark) organised by Parks & Horticulture Authority Lahore.
It is located in the city of #Lahore, #Punjab, #Pakistan on Jail Road in front of the Services Hospital.
#Facts
1. It is famous for its floral exhibitions, artificial waterfall, Polo Grounds, two cricket grounds, 5 canteens, gym and fitness centers, a study hall, a beautiful lake, walking and jogging tracks & Horse race.
2.Area: 88 acres (0.36 km/sq).
Administered by: Parks and Horticulture Authority.
Created: October 3, 1985.
Founder: Governor Ghulam Jilani Khan.
Jogging tracks: Hard tiles 5.5 kilometers.
Approximately eight thousand plants and flowers planted in a small area of six canals.
3. The Lahore Race Club was registered as a company. Some veterans claim that it dates from 1874. It was incorporated on 18 January 1924.
4. In 1976, Government asked the club to move its races away from the Jail Road course. Race Course Park was inaugurated by Lt General Ghulam Jilani Khan at that time Governor Punjab on 3rd October, 1985.
Annual horse racing competitions are held in this park.
5. Park also serves as a venue for polo competitions. Polo played here, is more like the polo played by Prince of Wales in the traditional Windsor. There is also a famous restaurant inside the park called 'Polo Lounge'.
6. Visitors can take relax and calm in a peaceful environment also enjoy tasty food with a reasonable price.

Flower Show Lahore - Annual Chrysanthemum show jilani park Lahore.
The annual chrysanthemum show is held in jilani park lahore in november every year. The event lasts for a week. Hundreds of varieties of chysanthemun are put for displany at the show organised by Parks and Horticulture Authority. Through this flower exhibition, Lahore is truly represented as city of gardens and flowers.
Chrysanthemums are perennial in Lahore but treated as annual because they require some care in summer months and in monsoon. Over watering in monsoon kills these plants.
