Taiwan in 360: Jinshan Old Street (Jinbaoli Old Street)
Jinshan Old Street, also known as Jinbaoli Old Street is located in Jinshan District of New Taipei, Taiwan. The area was originally a Ketagalan (凱達格蘭族) settlement called Ki-ppare, which means Land of the plentiful Harvest.
Today, Jinshan Old Street is a famous tourist attraction. The entire street is lined with historic old stone buildings and traditional shop houses. Apart from that, tourists can taste different foods, as well as visiting traditional Chinese medicine shops that are at least a century old.

Festival at Shiding Old Street
The festival we stumbled upon at a temple near Shiding Old Street.
Yingge / Sanxia Old Streets
We went for a daytrip from Taipei to Yingge old street and Sanxia old street. Both are about 15 minutes taxi ride away. Fare was about NTD150. Quite interesting. Train ride from Taipei to Yingge TRA station was about 35 minutes. Very easy to travel.

Zhuzihu Flower Market
A quaint local farming village hidden away in the mountains. Originally a lava-dammed lake created by the surrounding volcanoes, the area's unique geology became suitable for farming, terraced rice paddies early on, and other unique flora with time.
Qingtiangang Grassland Scenic Area
By definition a lava terrace, the area was formed as a result of volcanic activity in the mountains nearby. After the eruption of Mt. Zhugao, the lava flowed north towards the area, creating this unique landscape.
Jinbaoli Old Street

The street is famous for sweet potatoes that are soft, sweet and large, where one may find a number of sweet potato products include baked sweet potatoes, ice-roasted sweet potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, and sweet potato biscuits. Traditional Taiwan snacks, cakes, taro, bamboo shoots, and yams may also be found along the old street.
