Starting in the north side of town, I got to ride around a bit and enjoy the morning with a cup of coffee. I tried seeing a Cantonese movie. I didn’t understand any of it. I haven’t taken Cantonese lessons; one language at a time.

Afterwards I got to walk around San Xi Village in Zhongshan. It’s an older and historic part of the city but in recent years it has been turning into a gentrified, hipster area. There’s restaurants and coffee shops. The day we visited they were filming a TV show, so a lot of the businesses were closed, but it was still cool!

Today was my official moving day; but I had a lot to do. Besides starting out the day with some Pizza Hut breakfast and getting all my stuff down to the new apartment, I also had to check in with the local police department and register as all foreigners have to do. I also stopped by Metro for some shopping, attended a Chinese corner, and then braved a giant thunder storm to meet some friends for a little R&R. Busy day; got a lot done.

水庫沿岸是廣東綠道一段。 沿着水庫步行一圈需時大概3個鐘頭。
