In this episode I spend my time exploring two mountains in the Anhui province. The first is probably the most famous in China, Huangshan, also known as Yellow Mountains. The second one is one of the 5 holy mountains in the country, Jiuhuashan.

九华山后山九子岩景区位于九华山风景区东北部、青阳县朱备镇东桥村境内。源于九子峰的九子溪自西向东穿流其间，至朱备镇汇入青通河，面积约20平方公里。它是九华山著名古景区之一。
九华山后山九子岩景区可分僧家山、九子岩、翠峰寺、将军湖和莲峰云海五部分。
九子岩景区集自然风景和佛教文化于一体，是整个九华山的灵魂，九华山原九子山即源于九子岩。九子岩山岳风光优美，其雄可敌黄山、其险可比华山、其秀可望黄山。景区内主峰天华峰海拔1084米，是大自然在九华山的代表作，可谓登其峰，九华无峰；赏其景，九华无景。唐代大诗人刘禹锡《九华山歌》奇峰一见惊魂魄，意想洪炉始开辟。疑是九龙夭矫欲攀天，忽逢霹雳一声化为石，不然何至今，悠悠亿万年，气势不死如腾屳。云含幽兮月添冷，月凝晖兮江漾影。结根不得要路津，迥秀长在无人境。轩皇封禅登云亭，大禹会计临东溟。乘樏不来广乐绝，独与猿鸟愁青荧。君不见敬亭之山黄索漠，兀如断岸无棱角。宣城谢守一首诗，遂使声名齐五岳。九华山，九华山，自是造化一尤物，焉能籍甚乎人间。写尽了天华峰的一切。被诗圣李白形容为天河挂绿水的七布泉是景区的一道靓丽风景线，落差80余米，七折而下，她的美丽与壮观，已不能用其他任何华丽词藻所形容，其永恒主题只有天河绿水。
Jiuhuashan Houshan Jiuziyan Scenic Spot is located in the northeast of Jiuhuashan Scenic Area and Dongqiao Village of Zhubei Town, Qingyang County. Jiuzixi, which originated from Jiuzifeng, flows through from west to east, and merges into Zhutong Town to join Qingtong River, covering an area of about 20 square kilometers. It is one of the famous ancient scenic spots in Jiuhua Mountain.
Jiuhuashan Houshan Jiuziyan Scenic Area can be divided into five parts: Qijiashan, Jiuziyan, Cuifeng Temple, Jiangjun Lake and Lianfeng Yunhai.
The Jiuziyan Scenic Area integrates natural scenery and Buddhist culture, and is the soul of the entire Jiuhua Mountain. Jiuhuashanyuan Jiuzi Mountain is derived from Jiuziyan. The scenery of Jiuziyan Mountain is beautiful, and its male enemy can compete with Huangshan Mountain. Its risk is comparable to that of Huashan Mountain and its show is expected to Huangshan Mountain. Tianhua Peak, the main peak of the scenic spot, is 1,084 meters above sea level. It is the representative work of nature in Jiuhua Mountain.

Mount Jiu Hua and its Temples
Mount Jiuhua (Nine Glorious Mountains) is one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese Buddhism. It is located in Qingyang County in Anhui province and is famous for its rich landscape and ancient temples.
Many of the mountain's shrines and temples are dedicated to Ksitigarbha, who is a bodhisattva and protector of beings in hell realms according to Mahayana Buddhist tradition. Pious Buddhists often visit Anhui to climb to Greater Tiantai peak, which is regarded as Jiuhuashan's most important peak, although it is not the tallest.

Wanfohu is seated in the east part of the Dabieshan Mountains, situated between Changjiang and Huaihe River, neighboring to the Chaohu Lake to the east and Hefei to the north. It is within the one-hour economic circle of Hefei, 50km away from the Hefei-Kowloon Railway, the Hefei-Tongling-Huangshan expressway, the Shanghai-Chengdu expressway, and the Jinan-Guangzhou Highway. Also, it is only 2-hour drive from Nanjing, Wuhu and Jiuhua Mountains, and 3-hour drive from Huangshan, Wuhan and Nanchang. And, driving from Shanghai, Hangzhou or Changsha will take you 5 hours here.
Wanfo Lake, originally called Longhekou Reservoir, gets its name first for its headwaters in the WanFo mountains to the southwest, and then for the Guanyin Crag (literally the crag is shaped like the Mother Buddha) on the north bank and the islands in the lake, forming a vivid picture of “Buddhas worshipping Mother Buddha”. Seeing the amazing view, Zhao Puchu, a Chinese calligrapher and a poet, wrote an inscription of “Wanfo Lake” for it.

Mt. Jiuhua
Mt. Jiuhua is considered one of the best summer resorts in China. In addition to its popularity as a tourist destination, it is a holy site where Buddhists assemble-- it has been established as one of the four sacred Buddhist shrines, along with Mt.Wutai in Shanxi, Mt.Emei in Sichuan, and Mt.Putuoshan in Zhejiang.

Rime Graces Mount Jiuhua in East China
Rime has made Mount Jiuhua in east China's Anhui Province more attractive after strong cold air struck the scenic area on Sunday night.
The ice crystals coated mountain stones, plants and the tracks at altitudes of over 1,000 meters, exhilarating the tourists a lot.

For the ones who like to travel to the far corners of the world and have adventure in their blood this is a must see place and a guaranteed rush of adrenaline.
Thousands of people each year decide to go on one of the most dangerous roads in the world. It is composed of rickety stairs and paths with planks nailed on the rocks. At every step, they put their lives at risk to test their limits and to reach the famous teahouse in the top of the mountain Huashan in China.
Mount Huashan is located in Huayin, part of the Shaanxi province. The closest city, Xi’an, is 120 kilometers away. The teahouse of the top of the mountain is located on the south side of the mountain, at an altitude of 2,160 meters. Viewed on a map the Huashan mountain chain looks like a flower.

廬山位處於中國江西省；而位於廬山的雲居山，建於西元九世紀唐朝末期的真如禪寺，是中國．曹洞宗的發祥地。虛雲老和尚113歲時到達此地，120歲圓寂於此，舍利子供奉於不遠處的虛公塔院。諾那塔院則位於廬山小天池風景區內，塔院内供奉諾那活佛的舍利塔及衣冠遺物。東林寺位於廬山香爐峰，於西元四世紀東晉時期由淨土宗初祖慧遠大師建立，為淨土宗祖庭。
Mount Lu is situated in Jiangxi, China. Built at the end period of Tang Dynasty (in 9th century), Zhen-ru Zen Monastery in Mount Yun-ju in Mount Lu is an original place of the Caodong Buddhism, a traditional sect of Chinese Zen. The master Xu Yun came to here at 113 years of age, and he passed away in his 120th year. The relics of The Master Xu Yun was placed in the stupa near Zhen-ru Zen Monastery.
The stupa of Norlha Rinpoche is situated in Xiaotian Pool of Mount Lu. The relics of Norlha Rinpoche is preserved in the stupa.
The Donglin Monastery built in Eastern Jin Dynasty (in 4th century) by The Master Hui-yuan, the First Patriarch of the Pure Land Sect of Buddhism. The Donglin Monastery is the original place of Pure Land Sect of Buddhsim.
九華山位於中國安徽省，是大願地藏菩薩的道場，與五臺山、峨嵋山及普陀山並稱為中國佛教四大名山。九華山天台峰峰頂的天台寺，又稱地藏寺，是唐代僧人金喬覺曾經的住處。金喬覺99歲坐化，死後肉身不腐，被譽為地藏菩薩化身，故而又名金地藏。其肉身現保存在神光嶺肉身寶殿中。
Situated in Anhui, Mount Jiuhua is the sacred site of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva with Great Vows. Together with Mount Wutai, Mount Emei and Mount Putuo, they are known as the four great Buddhist mountains in China. Situated on the top of Tiantai peak in Mount Jiuhua, The Tiantai Monastery is also konown as The Dizang Monastery, where Kim Qiaoque, a monk in Tang Dynasty (in 8th century), came to here for cultivating himself. He died at 99 years of age, and his corporeal body stayed intact. The monks there believed Ksitigarbha Boddhisattva was reincarnated in him, as a result, he is also konown as Kim Dizang. His corporeal body now is kept in The Corporeal Body Hall locates at the head of Shenguang Ridge in Mount Jiuhua.
