Jivdani mandir | Virar east | Ropeway

Jivdani mandir, located in Virar east is 60km away from Mumbai, 1500ft. above sea level and has 1120 steps. There is also a ropeway which starts from 4:00am to 9:00pm. Rs.150 return ticket was the rate when I visited (Nov, 2018) which may also increase in future. By steps it takes 1-1and1/2 hours. There are lots of stalls on the way. I personally suggest to avoid eating food there as it is very unhygienic. Shopkeepers will only let you sit in their stalls to rest for sometime while you climb the stairs only if you purchase anything from them. Quiet arrogant few of them. Share auto takes Rs.15 per person. Photography is not allowed inside the temple and has a fine if caught.

The temple is on the hill, almost 1500 ft from the sea-level. The Goddess rests in a temple situated about 1250 steps above the ground on a hill that forms a part of the Satpura Range in Virar, a northern Mumbai suburb, about 60 km away from Mumbai. The hill offers a very picturesque view of Virar and its vicinity. During the nine days of the Navratrifestival many followers visit the shrine, and devotees also tend to visit on Tuesdays and Sundays.

How To reach Jivdani Temple by Public Transport

Jivdani mandir | Virar East.

I had visited last Jivdani Temple Virar on 25 Oct 2017. Usually I visit Jivdani once in a year. I like to climb on the jivdani steps. As you can see there is just finished up rainy season thus nature looks good & spread the sheet of greenery. As you can see jivdani temple is decorated with the lights as Diwali festival has been passed out.

Jivdani Temple Distance between Jivdani to Virar Station is 2 kms or 1.2 miles or 1.1 nautical miles. If you are going to Jivdani by auto or Car from virar Station you will take 10 minute.

As per my knowledge Jivdani Temple Visits is awesome at every time. Feeling peaceful, happy and get mom’s blessing to us if we have believed on her.

From the top of the temple we can see whole looks of Virar city and its looks more beautiful.

The temple is located at a hill top, very much visible from major city areas. O reach the site, get down at virar station, walk towards east side, hire a shared auto for Rs 15 / 20 to reach temple areas. This has become a hotspot for tourists. For convenience of aged people, ropeway is available. Morning climb after 5 am till top is recommended for those who can attempt it. It's refreshing.
