My Favorite Tokyo Sweets! Sweets Forest in Jiyugaoka!

Hello, Muggles!

This time I introduced my friends to my favorite sweet spot in Tokyo. Jiyugaoka is a stylish and European themed part of Tokyo so it was decked out with Christmas decorations.
At Sweets Forest I got to try Mini strawberry cheese cake, Kulon - a Chinese fruit dessert and my absolute favorite, Shorompo!
Shorompo is a kind of Chinese dumpling filled with soup, although the one I ate in the video was a little hot, it is my main recommendation!

Jiyugaoka is a quiet but a very attractive site for shoppers and visitors who want to find expensive but cool shops. The destination has gaining popularity over the past few years, and there we found a great Japanese deserts place, which from the outside looks just like an ordinary old Japanese house. It's hidden and easy to miss, but there you can enjoy the view of Japanese garden and traditional Japanese desserts. Enjoy!

A Day Out in Akihabara & Jiyugaoka

Last week we went out to explore Akihabara and Jiyugaoka.

A Cinematic Vlog | Jiyugaoka Tokyo

Initially my goal was to show off Jiyugaoka in all it's old money glory. It is well known for housing some of the most established families in Tokyo. You can't take a step without tripping over some fancy cafe or restaurant or boutique shopping center. My problem was that I got far more distracted by the incredible green space that you will find in abundance if you go. There is this myth that Tokyo is simply wall to wall concrete and it's not true. Certainly living in a place as exclusive as Jiyugaoka may be out of the question for most people but that doesn't mean you couldn't enjoy the beautiful streets that is has to wander down. So if you're looking for something to do in Tokyo, this is a beautiful place to come. Don't even worry about spending in the shops, take a walk and find the peaceful green places of which there are many.

Chic shopping stop for fashion, dining and sweets

Just a few stops south of Shibuya on the Tokyu-Toyoko Line, the trendy residential district of Jiyugaoka is a maze of narrow streets with a European ambience dotted with stylish cafes, bakeries and fashion and interior shops. Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy Sweets Forest, serving a collection of specialist confections from around the world with a cute forest theme. There are plenty of surprises in store, from the Parisian-style streetscapes to La Vita, a miniature version of Venice, with a canal and gondola. If you tire of shopping, ride a Tokyu-Oimachi Line train to nearby Todoroki Ravine Park: a quiet green oasis with a temple, waterfall, burbling river and a dramatic red arched bridge.
