Quebec City, Canada City Guide! Complete firsthand travel guide - everything you need to see!
Where should you go if you want the feel of an European city but don't want to leave North America? Quebec City, Canada! It's the capital of the French-speaking province of Quebec, and the heart of French Canada, so it's got a culture unlike anywhere else in Canada or the USA. Plus, it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a stone wall surrounding Old Town Quebec City.
In this video, I'll tell you how to get there and where to stay, and talk about some of the amazing things to see and do while you are there. I talk about the old city, the city walls, some of the highlights within the walls (Chateau Frontenac, Chateau St. Louis, Cathedral-Basiliaca of Notre Dame de Quebec) and outside them (Place-Royale, Notre-Dame-Des-Victoires, Petit Champlain), some of the military tourist sites in the city (Citadelle of Quebec, Plains of Abraham, Joan of Arc Garden), and much more. It's an amazing city, so make sure to check it the video if you are thinking about going there.

Looking for something to do in old Quebec city? Look no further than Battlefield Park, & The Plains of Abraham Museum!
My family and I decided to take a trip to Quebec, Canada, to go Whale Watching. On our way, to Tadoussac, we stopped for a day and one night in Old Quebec City to enjoy Battlefield Park, The Plains of Abraham and Joan of Arc Garden, among a few other historic sites.
There is so much to do in Old Quebec City for families, including learning about The Early Settlers & First Nations, at The Plains of Abraham Museum. Our visit was so informative, and it was a great thing to do with toddlers, as there were interactive exhibits that illustrated and encouraged learning about Early French Canadian history.
The City is bustling with friendly people and a charming atmosphere, and I highly recommend visiting Old Quebec City with toddlers specifically for this reason. Everywhere we went there were people willing to help us climb stairs with our stroller, wave “bonjour” back to our friendly little tyke, and give us directions in English- yes, that’s right- more than half the population of Quebec City speaks fluent English & French, making your visit an inspiring taste of Europe with all the comforts of North America.
Here is a Google Maps link to help you start your journey if you'd like to visit The Plains of Abraham Museum yourself!

French Navy - Frigate Courbet - F 712
French frigate Courbet (F 712)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Courbet took part in Opération Baliste. On 3 October 2006, an Israeli fighter penetrated her 2-nautical-mile (4 km) defence perimeter without responding to radio calls, triggering a diplomatic incident. Israel apologised after official protests from the French government [1]. Throughout September the ship was involved in anti-piracy operations off the coast of Somalia, helping to recapture a yacht taken by pirates on September 2.
In December 2009 Courbet escorted the Marine Nationale cruiser Jeanne d'Arc on her final voyage. This was last trip of the famous helicopter carrier that served as a floating embassy and symbol of the French navy for 46 years. Jeanne d'Arc 's last voyage in company with Courbet included visits to Africa, South America including Rio to Buenos Aires, the French Antilles, the United States of America including New York City, and Canada. The voyage was completed sometime in May 2010.
