Hiking in Beautiful British Columbia? Joffre Lakes Provincial Park [explore BC???????? ]
YAY! Our first time hiking at Joffre Lakes ???? ! Joffre Lakes is a 3 hour drive from Vancouver, and it is definitely worth the long drive. The hike is approx 4 hours long, 2 hours up, 2 hours down, and passing by 3 lakes. The hike itself is not bad, there is a small stretch that is steep and I would recommend hiking shoes because i fell twice hiking down as i slipped. ????

Joffre Lakes is one of BC's most beautiful hikes and is relatively easy to access compared to other alpine lakes in the region. The hiking trail passes all three lakes and reaches the campsite next to Upper Joffre Lake where Matier Glacier hangs impressively high above.

Recently took a trip up to see the famous blue waters at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park. We hiked Joffre Lakes in winter (but not full winter) so it was pretty snowy and that made it all the the more pretty!
The Joffre Lakes trail is super pretty but it gets super busy too. Go early and remember to LEAVE NO TRACE!

If you're really up for an adventure, make sure to circle around the last lake for amazing views of the often overlooked glacier-fed waterfalls.
