Niall Mullen Antiques and the Dublin Antiques Quarter
I am a second generation antique dealer with my Dad having operated a fine art auction for 46 years. I operated an antique shop on Francis Street for nine years before branching out on my own in 2001. I followed my passion for 20th century but never fully departed good quality eclectic and period furniture.
I opened my shop five years ago and have in more recent times concentrated on smaller collectible items such as bronzes, glass and ceramics but cocktail furniture will never be to far away.
I am vice president of the IADA which is a 46 year old organisation which acts as an advisory body to approx 70 dealers nationwide.

Greyabbey, Ireland's Largest Collection of Antique Shops
We are in the fascinating historic village of Greyabbey that claims to have the largest collection of antique shops! This is complimented by an assortment of other often quirky speciality shops and a variety of excellent cafes and restaurants.
On top of that there are some great eateries and there are the remains of the famous Greyabbey 12th Century Cistertian Abbey and Monastery Monastery on the edge of the village. What an interesting place. You gotta stop off here!
The village derives its name from Grey Abbey a Cistercian Abbey Monastery dating from Affreca de Courcy wife of John de Courcy 1192. this monastery is important as the first Gothic style building in Ulster.
The majority of shops in Greyabbey are within a 500m radius. Carparking is free in the 4 carparks and on street parking is also free. The main road through the village is the main road down to Portaferry. It is very busy. Care should be taken crossing the road.
