This time we spent the day on a Kayaking Tour via the John Gray Sea Canoe Kayaking Tour. We went on the Hong by Starlight day trip. Had a great time exploring the different caves and lagoons only accessible at certain times of the day. We also participated in a mock Loy Krathong ceremony.

I highly recommend this day tour out of Phuket. We got the opportunity to be on this boat with the main boss John Gray. He was full of great knowledge and stories! I believe he is on the tours daily, which shows alot about the company. The food and staff were wonderful! I will attach the link to this tour!

- visit the Buddhist temples: Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, Wat Arun (Bangkok)
- eat local dishes at local markets or food trucks (cheap and delicious!) (F*ck McDo !)
- ride a boat on the Chao Phraya River and hop off at various places (China Town for instance)
- strawl around in Lumphini Park
- go shopping in Central World
- spot high-end Thai businessmen in Silom
- check out the seafood at Bangrak Market
in PHUKET (Patong)
- rent a scooter and visit multiple beaches (we did Patong beach itself and neighbouring Karon)
- go see a Thaiboxing match (
- party on Bangla Road! (we did Soi Tiger, Soi Hollywood, Seth Gueko Bar, and many more!)
- island hopping with a speedboat in Phang Nga Bay (the famous Ko Phi Phi, Maya Bay Krabi)
- climb some steps to visit Kathu Waterfall
- sea canoe (MUST DO!) (John Gray's Sea Canoe) ( (we did the Hong by Starlight tour)

1 Phi Phi Islands Tour by Speedboat
The Phi Phi Islands tour by speedboat is a favourite day trip from Phuket. The Phi Phi archipelago comprises six islands – Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Leh, Koh Bida Nok, Koh Bida Nai, Mosquito Island, and Bamboo Island, and is located only 45 minutes away by twin-engine speedboat from Phuket.
2 Sea Kayaking - Phang Nga Hong by Starlight
When other sea cave-kayak tour operators are winding down for the day, the John Gray Sea Canoe crew is just getting started. John Gray is the godfather of sea kayaking in Thailand. He developed the ‘Hong by Starlight’ tour as a way to avoid crowds. A hong, in case you were wondering, is a sea cave.

10 Coral Island Tour by Speedboat
It’s amazing how hot it can get at 09:00 in the morning. Thankfully, at Chalong Pier there’s plenty of shade and benches on which to sit with a cool drink. There are a lot of people here and their faces – in spite of their wildly differing nationalities – show just three basic emotions. There’s anticipation on foreigner’s faces, determination on the tour guides’ faces and pure bewilderment on children’s faces.
At 09:30 a guide wearing a Coral Island Resort T-shirt leads us down the steps at the beginning of the pier and helps us into a single engine speedboat. Soon, we’re roaring along and leaving a gorgeous wake behind us as we head south, past the headland at Rawai. The view of southern Phuket from the sea is decidedly verdant. You’d never guess what a busy place it can be at times, it looks so peaceful from a distance.

Thailand - Andaman sea kayak excursion
Our visit to Phuket Thailand in 2018
During our visit to Thailand, Phuket was the third city we visited. We stayed at the Sala Resort. We went island hopping, snorkeling, spent an entire day with the John Gray’s Sea Canoe team, they were very professional and very nice. The canoe ride was very relaxing. We saw monkeys, bats and beautiful rock formations. I highly recommend this trip!

Phang Nga Town in Phang Nga province in southern Thailand is a small and quiet town, but have some spectacular sights with its Khao Chang mountain and Phung Chang Cave and its Buddhist temple. It is also close to Phang Nga Bay which is most likely what got you to Phang Nga with its popular islands like James Bond Island and Muslim Island that was built on stilts by Indonesian fishermen. But Phang Nga town also has some beautiful places to show off while you are there. Phung Chang Cave where you can get a guided tour through the cave. The town park is beautiful and there are several temples nearby that are worth a visit. พังงา
