Beach....Pine Trees....Ducks
Flew at John Tanner State Park in Carrollton GA today. Added a cap on my battery lead to try to remedy the mid throttle oscillations. I think it help a little bit, but they are still there. I'm trying not to get too frustrated and just have fun flying but it's really pissing me off. I guess I'll keep messing with stuff until it gets fixed. Hope you enjoy!

[ 5/12 ] :: Philippines 2015 :: Bay Bay Park -- Karaoke & Family Reunion
In case you didn't know, Filipinos are all about some karaoke!! Brian and Johnny fit right in ;)
... our cousins took us out for karaoke one night... i'm pretty sure they opened up the place just for us! lol
... the next day we had a family reunion at the same place -- it was a bit weathered from the typhoon the previous year, but beautiful nonetheless... I was practically getting to meet this whole side of my family for the first time since i left the Philippines when i was a toddler!! Lots of food and singing -- good times! :)
B, my bro, and I were taken out on a little boat to explore... somehow we managed to tip it over and fell into the ocean... we were like, uhhh...does this happen often?? and they were like, nope, never before... lol
Meanwhile, mom was having a near-panic attack watching us from the dock -- which we didn't learn about til waaay after the fact.... :P
Thank goodness i gave her my camera to hold!!

The Obituary
Snuffy did for me, Missy, Cam and Robert when we couldn't do for ourselves...
~ David Knight, brother ~
King Victor Knight, known as KV to friends and loved ones, was born on April 9, 1923 to the parentage of the late Robert Harm Knight and Sallie Fannie (Thompson) Knight in Malone, Alabama. The 1920's were hard times for many families living in Randolph County. But, being one of the older brothers out of 16 children, KV will always be remembered for helping see to the family making it through. The family loved nick-names, and so, his family also affectionately called him snuffy.
The Knight family included 12 boys and 4 girls -- all but three preceded him in death... Lacy Knight, Lunie Knight, Charlie Lee Knight, John Robert JR Knight, Henry Goody Knight, Jeremiah Knight, James Cameron Cam Knight, Robert Knight, Vicie Kimble, Susie Robertson, Christine Williams, and Candy Knight Echols.
As a young man, KV participated in the CCC Camp which stands for Civilian Conservation Corps. This was a program created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933 to create jobs for the American men who could not find work in any other field during the depression. The men could sign up for any length of time, usually it was farm boys who could be away from the farm for a few months at a time. They were paid a small salary with room and board. They were given the basic tools they would need to build a few buildings, information center, toilets, camp sites, picnic areas and roads. They had to cut the timber and hewn the lumber themselves. They did not have drawings or the help of architects, engineers. They built with what they found on site. Some of the buildings are put together with out nails. They found the most scenic areas for the picnic areas and the most unobtrusive areas for the buildings. They used rocks to blend the buildings into the landscape. They built dams to form pools where there were natural springs. Today most of our state and national parks are located where the CCC started. Most of our roadside parks have remnants of the CCC original work. For men that were not in construction, they did a fantastic job. The skills KV learned there would carry him for life.
He united in marriage with the former Willie C. Houston, who preceded him in death. After many years, he formed a loving friendship with the late Mrs. Edith Rowland, and they remained a twosome until she passed away.
Snuffy worked hard during his lifetime. Aside from farming, he worked for several years as a cement finisher on the R.L. Harris Dam. He was a lovable and fun-loving person and a favorite among his many nieces and nephews.
When this world could no longer afford him an earthly home, KV quietly slipped away from loved ones on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Tanner Medical Center Hospice in Carrollton, Carroll County, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish many loving memories one (1) son, Billy Knight, Jr., of Wedowee, Alabama; one (3) daughters: Willie Rose Mims (Bill) of Birmingham, Alabama;
one (1) daughter-in-law, Ruby Nell Knight of Wedowee, Alabama;
his last surviving brother, David Knight (Brenda) of Carrollton, Georgia; two (2) sisters: Mildred Knight Battle of Los Angeles California; and Fannie Maude Thomas of Wedowee, Alabama;
one (1) grandson, Marcus Knight (Loretta) of Roanoke, Alabama; one (1) great granddaughter, Justice Knight also of Roanoke, Alabama; and finally a great host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and many other loving relatives, neighbors and friends.
Acknowledgments
The family of KV Knight would like to use this means to let everyone know how much we appreciate all acts of kindness, and sympathy shown during the loss of our beloved brother, uncle, and faithful friend. Each and every prayer, telephone call, flower, food offering, or other kind deed is very much appreciated, and accepted with our utmost appreciation.
