Tea Party at Johnson Park - Roger Haeske attending
for more information on my views on this topic.
I visit one of the many Tea Parties on April 15, 2009 in New Jersey. I was shocked to see so many people here. I'd bet there were at least 500 people.
This is a lot when you consider how many other Tea Parties were being held across the state. I wonder if the turnout was similarly good elsewhere in New Jersey.
I was concerned that the Tea Party was co-opted by the Republican Party. A party that is just as much to blame for the problems we're having as the Democrats.
It certainly wasn't the Republicans who came up with the idea for doing the Tea Parties in the first place.
I'm a Libertarian all the way. Enough of this New World Order crap. We've got to stop the complete destruction of the United States and our Constitution.
I hope more people wake up soon. For more information you'll want to take a look at my blog post entitled:

USA: NEW JERSEY: TROPICAL STORM FLOYD: FLOODING UPDATE
English/Nat
Hurricane Floyd may have been downgraded to a tropical storm but it still left some serious flooding in his wake.
Parts of New Jersey are under water after the raging Raritan River crested, triggering massive flooding and a wide scale rescue mission.
Main street in Bound Brook, New Jersey is awash, with street signs just peeking out above ten feet (three metres) of flowing water.
The rescue mission is incorporating the Coast Guard, the National Guard, area police departments, firefighters and private citizens in boats.
They've saved hundreds of residents from the flood.
Local officials say about 1,700 people were in local High Schools doubling as makeshift shelters.
Flood victims took up residence in gymnasiums, resting on the floor and taking care of their babies.
SOUNDBITE:
We didn't take it serious at first. And then around five in the morning one of the
neighbours knocked on our door and told us that if I could to get the cars out of the parking lot. So when I went out that's when I found the water had come up to as high as knee level. And apparently we are the furthest away from the river...so it had coma a long way up.
SUPER CAPTION: Tim Ochido, Flood Victim
Many residents, particularly ones in second floor apartments, did not want to leave their homes.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
Our neighbours are right there, and they moved out first. But we kind of wanted to stay but they won't let us. It's very dangerous.
SUPERCAPTION: Robert Duan, Flood Victim
There were no reports of life-threatening injuries, though local police said a few people were hospitalised after being plucked from the water.
Residents of these low-lying Raritan River towns in central New Jersey are used to flooding.
It happens every time it rains hard.
And before the centre of the downgraded Hurricane Floyd arrived in New Jersey on Thursday afternoon, residents were looking at it as just another storm.

New Jersey Turnpike (Exits 8A to 8) Southbound (Car Lanes)
The New Jersey Turnpike (NJTP), known colloquially as the Turnpike, is a system of controlled-access highways in New Jersey, maintained by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA). The 117.20-mile (188.62 km) mainline's southern terminus is at the interchange with U.S. Route 130 (US 130) and Route 49, where the split of Interstate 295 (I-295) and US 40 occurs, near the border of Pennsville and Carneys Point townships in Salem County, one mile (1.6 km) east of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Its northern terminus is at US 46 in Ridgefield Park, Bergen County. Construction of the mainline from concept to completion took 23 months, from 1950 to 1952. It was officially opened to traffic in November 1951, between its southern terminus and exit 10.
The turnpike is a major thoroughfare providing access to various localities in New Jersey, as well as Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New York. According to the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association, the turnpike is the nation's sixth-busiest toll road and is one of the most heavily traveled highways in the United States.
The northern part of the mainline turnpike, along with the entirety of its extensions and spurs, is part of the Interstate Highway System, designated as I-95 between exit 6 and its northern end. South of exit 6, it has the unsigned Route 700 designation. There are three extensions and two spurs, including the Newark Bay Extension at exit 14, which carries I-78; the Pennsylvania Turnpike Extension (officially the Pearl Harbor Memorial Turnpike Extension) at exit 6 which carries I-95 off the mainline turnpike; the I-95 Extension from the northern end of the mainline to the George Washington Bridge; and the Eastern Spur and the Western Spur between Newark and Ridgefield. All segments except for the I-95 Extension are tolled.
