We did the middle section along with the lower section into the Hollin River. By doing this you avoid the hike into or out of the putin for the lower section.

The level is low. You can kayak this river into the Upper Jondachi instead of doing the hike. This creek is actually fun except for a couple of manky rapids. I don't know any of the rapid names.

Whitewater Kayak Lower Rio Jondachi / Hollin Class III/IV - Tena, Ecuador
Beautiful day on the Lower Jondachi River for my first time! Starts with a long 30 min hike in through virgin jungle and rainforest. It's a remote class III creek run in the beautiful Ecuadorian jungle. Halfway through it meets up with the Hollín river, grows in volume, and has a couple class IV rapids. I packed the wrong cable so I couldn't charge my GoPro and missed the bigger rapids and most of the day, but I hope you enjoy a small piece of this pristine river!
They're in the process of damming the Jondachi river in 2015, let's fight it together!

Running the middle line through Waffle Maker Rapid on the Jodachi River in Ecuador. This was an exciting way to experience whitewater in the the Amazon Rain Forest. The surf was quite interesting. This rapid features some sticky holes.
