Walking in MALACCA / Malaysia - Jonker Street Walk & Nightmarket - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Malacca City (Malay: Melaka) is located in southwestern Malaysia. The city is a favourite for Asian tourists as it is a center of Peranakan culture. On tonights walk we start outside the Old Town, then go to the Christ Church and Stadthuys and then walk the Jonkers Street night market.
Many stalls on the street and some side alleys offer food and souvenirs on the weekend.
The city has a colorful history which is visible by the diverse architecture. The Chinese ruled in the mid 15th century, then the Portuguese were arriving in the 16th century, eventually Dutch having some power and finally the English were taking over for a while. A nice little city with many murals which we will also visit during day time on other walks here on this channel.

I visit Malacca, another one of Malaysia's famous cities and UNESCO world heritage sites. Bustling night markets at Jonker Street, famous old churches and pleasant river walks, it's a must visit. This vlog also includes a trip to Pantai Klebang, a cool beach stop en route back to KL.

WHAT TO EAT IN MELAKA, JONKER STREET ???????? | Malaysian Street Food
Jonker Street is one of the popular spots for both local and tourist to visit when you’re in Melaka, Malaysia. This place is known for its cafes, souvenirs and street food. This round, we’re here to hunt for some delicious local delights.
SUPPORT US by SUBSCRIBING to our channel here:-
1. Chicken Rice Balls–1 small set for RM10.00 - Recommended! (0:22)
Shop name: Kedai Kopi Chung Wah
Famously known for their Hainanese chicken rice balls, Chung Wah restaurant is definitely a place to stop by if you’re in Jonker Street. .
Maps:
Address: 18, Jalan Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka
2. Putu Piring - 5 pieces for RM6.00 (1:58)
Our first time trying Putu Piring, not sure how it’s supposed to really taste like, but from a first impression, it tasted like an unsweetened cake and has a mild flavour.
Location: Near Kedai Kopi Chung Wah/H&M/San Shu Gong
Address: 3, Jalan Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka
3. Muah Chee 麻糍 -RM5.00 per set (2:25)
Similar to mochi, Muah Chee is basically glutinous rice flour dough coated with some brown sugar and crushed roasted peanuts. Puri and I love Muah Chee, it’s not the best we had, but this is pretty good as well.
Location: Along the street in Jonker Street
4. Non-food: Mamee Jonker House (3:00)
Taking a break from food, we stopped by Mamee Jonker House. Mamee is an Malaysian crunchy instant noodle snack, one of our favourite childhood snack. The crunchy noodles comes with a pack of seasoning powder, where you pour that into the pack of noodles, crush the noodles and shake it up!
Address: No. 46 & 48, Jalan Hang Jebat (Jonker Street), 75200 Melaka
Opening Hours: 10am – 5PM (Mon-Thurs), 10am – 7pm (Fri-Sun)
5. One Bite Durian Cream Puff - RM3.00 each- Recommended! (3:56)

6. Bikini Signature Ice Cream - RM9.90 - Recommended! (4:38)
Shop name: Bikini Toppings
The Bikini Signature Ice cream is a Coconut Ice Cream served in a coconut shell with coconut flesh and you get to choose a topping of your choice. We went ahead with the crushed peanuts. This is definitely a pleasure to our tastebud and really refreshing on a typical hot day in Malaysia! Definitely recommended! They also serve sandwiches, which we've ordered the Bikini Bites (RM7.90).
7. Baba Laksa - RM7.00, Baba Nyonya Assam Laksa - RM8.50, Cendol - RM4.00 - All recommended! (5:37)
Jonker 88 is famous for its baba nyonya cuisine. The baba laksa has coconut milk so it's a little towards the sweet side. The baba cendol is a perfect dessert after a meal. The idea of the Baba Laksa married with the Nyonya Assam Laksa is too interesting not to try. We got ourselves a bowl, it's definitely worth a try!
Shop name: Jonker 88
Address: 88, Jalan Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka
Opening Hours: 9.30am – 6pm (Sun-Thurs), 9.30am – 9pm (Fri-Sat)

Opening Hours: 8am – 3pm (Tues-Sun) + 6pm – 10pm (Fri-Sun), Closed on Mondays
9. Perfect Egg Ice Cream - RM3.00 (8:54)
Just a basic Popsicle, but in a cute egg shape!
10. Non-Food: Sam Shu Gong 三叔公 (9:14)
If you’re looking for some Melaka souvenirs, you’ll get to find most of them in this red building. We’ve got ourselves some essence lime and honey lemon. They also have a couple of other branches.
Address: 33, Lorong Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka
Opening Hours: 9am - 10pm (Daily)
12. Pork Satay with Pineapple Satay Sauce - RM9 for 10 sticks (9:25)
Shop Name: Sun May Hiong Satay House
It’s not along Jonker Street, but it’s about 10 minutes walk from San Shu Gong. The minimum order was 10 sticks. So we’ve ordered a mix of pork satay, pork intestine and pork liver. The pineapple sauce alone does taste very interesting itself, however the satay wasn’t great and doesn't go along with the sauce, luckily the intestine and liver was not too bad in our opinion.

COLOURFUL MELAKA IN MALAYSIA! Jonker Weekend Street Market & Street Art! | Melaka Vlog
I spent 2 days exploring the colourful and fun city of Melaka in Southern Malaysia. This town is such a gem, it’s easy to see in just one or two days as there is not a huge amount of things to do in Melaka however you can easily spend one or two days in Malacca visiting all of the street art, cafe hopping in it’s cute cafes, seeing temples and visiting Jonker Walk.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday there’s a night market along Jonker Walk Street which has lots of Malaysian Street Food as well as selling clothes and souvenirs.
I also walked along Melaka’s River, went to the Clock Tower, St Pauls Church and the Maritime Museum as well as eating lots of nice food.
I really recommend Malacca in Malaysia as one of the best places in Malaysia to visit and it’s in a great location between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore!

Street Food Jonker Street Melaka Night Market Malacca 2
Street food at Jonker Street Melaka is a street food Night Market in Malacca Malaysia.
Located in the city center of Melaka's Chinatown, Jonker Street is open Friday to Sunday from 6pm to 12 am.
In this Jonker Street food video, we filmed various street food that is sold at the night market stalls. There is also a stall that sells fresh coconut and provided a close-up tossing demonstration of the coconut ball. It was amazing that this seller wanted to perform his tossing skills for us.
Although we were not able to capture the full screen due to the crowd behind us, we feel that the tossing coconut was a good street performance. What do you think?
Jonker Street food is about two hours drive from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. There are many hotels near Jonker Street food Melaka night market and you should never miss this night market if you are visiting Malaysia.

Walking in MALACCA / Malaysia ????????- Evening tour around Jonker & Temple Street - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Malacca City (also spelled Melaka) in Malaysia has a preserved colonial town center,, which makes it a popular tourist destination in the country. Both Portuguese and Dutch left buildings in in the city.
We are starting our walk at a little Dutch windmill near the Red Square with the Stadthuys. We join the lively nightmarket at the Jonker Street (official name Jalan Hang Jebat) which is the touristic focus of most vistors. This time we also see the Jalan Tokong (Malay for “Temple Street”) where several religions built sites of worship. It is more relaxing there and also interesting to see.
We exit at the end of Jonker Street and walk back during sunset through the now busy night market. Food and souvenirs on offer so end this walk were we started: at the Stadthuys.

Jonker Walk Melaka Malaysia
Jonker walk is in Jonker street Chinatown Melaka(Malacca,Malaysia). Karen and I, brave the crowded tourist spot for some local cheap keepsakes and tasty treats. Come and visit on Saturdays for this is how the night market looks like. Caveat for the scarcity of clean toilet. We end up visiting taste better and geographer cafe for live music(booze at the bar is also available). See you in comfy sandals!

Jonker Street - Malacca, Malaysia
Visited Malacca today. Here are some videos taken using my Samsung Galaxy Note 1 at Jonker Street. Sorry that the videos may be a little shaky.
Melaka Jonker Street, Malaysia 2016 马六甲 鸡场街
There is a saying that if you haven’t visited Jonker Street, you haven’t been to Melaka!
Visitors to Malacca should also take note to visit Jonker Street (officially known as Jalan Hang Jebat). The street houses many buildings that date back all the way to the 17th century. It is also littered with traditional businesses selling items found nowhere else, ranging from antiques to crafts to unique food such as chicken rice balls. Ever since the government took steps to make it a tourist destination, more effort has been poured into the street to showcase the best of Malaccan culture-turning it into a must-visit spot for anyone exploring the town. - See more at:

Jonker Street Market - Melaka, Malaysia (Malacca)
Jonker Street is one of my favourite in all of Melaka, Malaysia. The street comes alive over the weekend as markets and stalls set up along this bustling strip in Chinatown. Performers, singers, musicians and others entertain the crowds and street food and trinkets are sold everywhere. : Jonker Street -- the centre street of Chinatown -- was once renowned for its antique shops. However over the years it has turned to clothing and crafts outlets as well as restaurants. The best part of Jonker Street is the night market on Fridays and Saturdays that sells everything from tasty treats to cheap keepsakes.

Shopping & Eating Malaysian Street Food along Jonker Street Night Market in Melaka, Malaysia
This travel video is a tour of us walking, shopping, eating Malaysian street food, people watching and taking in Malaysian cultural performances and music at the Jonker Street (Jalan Jin Hang Jebat) Night Market located in Melaka (Malacca), Malaysia.
This lovely strip in the heart of Malacca's Chinatown turns into a bustling hive of activity - at night on the weekend - with people crowding every inch of space along the street.

The UNESCO heritage park is one of my favorite night markets in all of Asia - only Shilin market in Taipei, Taiwan comes out ahead.
Malaysian performers entertain pedestrians on both ends of the strip while vendors line up one by one offering souvenirs, Malaysian/Chinese street food and refreshments.
Jonker street night market is one of the top places to sample authentic street food where you can get everything from refreshingly sweet drinks to spicy stir fries.
We both stopped to eat carrot cake stir fry along with Cendol (a refreshing Malaysian dessert).
The carrot cake stir fry tasted a lot like Pad Thai; however, we didn't notice any actual carrots. What it appeared to consist of was in fact turnips.
The Cendol was my personal favorite for the evening. Given how hot and humid it is - at all times of day - this refreshing treat filled with jellies, beans, shaved ice and sweet coconut milk more than hit the spot.
As we continued to wander from one end to the other we couldn't help but notice all of the street performances and music.
We stopped many times for refreshments to stay hydrated and to escape temporarily from the madness of the main pedestrian strip.
For those interested in all of the hustle and bustle, the weekend night market in Malacca is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 6 pm until midnight.
It's one of the top attractions in Melaka (certainly one of the liveliest) and it should be added to your things to do list while based in Melacca.
What is your favorite night market? Would you enjoy going to this one?
We are in Malacca right now and it is nighttime so we are about to head over to Jonker Street where they have one of the biggest night markets I have ever seen. It is a great place to find food and go shopping, so let's head over there.
What are you eating right now? There is nothing better to do at the night market, the Jonker street night market, than to indulge in street food. We've got a refreshing little dish right down here - take a look at it. There are different kinds of jellies and beans and shaved ice with some sweet coconut milk and cane syrup. Is it ever good! It is the perfect way to beat the heat.
Right here we've ordered something called a carrot cake. I am not seeing any carrots so far but it looks really tasty. It smells good. Is it good? How would you describe it? I would say it is like a Pad Thai without the noodles. You have the bean sprouts, you have a little bit of tofu and some egg and peanuts. I don't know where the carrot name comes from.
I just bought some sugarcane juice - it is really sweet and refreshing and I love that they gave us lots of ice. It is perfect. It is perfect for a hot night like this.
This is part of our Travel in Malaysia series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Malaysian culture, arts, food, religion and people.
