Jordan Archaeological Museum, Amman, Jordan, 2014
The Jordan Archaeological Museum built in 1951 is part of the Amman Citadel and houses flint, metal and pottery objects. Very nice are the anthropoid coffins and the Ain Ghazal statues, 6000-8000 B.C.

The Jordan Archaeological Museum is located in the Amman Citadel of Amman, Jordan. Built in 1951,[1] it presents artifacts from archaeological sites in Jordan, dating from prehistoric times to the 15th century. The collections are arranged in chronological order and include items of everyday life such as flint, glass, metal and pottery objects, as well as more artistic items such as jewelry and statues. The museum also includes a coin collection.
The museum formerly housed some of the Dead Sea Scrolls, including the only copper scroll, which are now on display in the newly established Jordan Museum, along with the Ain Ghazal statues, which are among the oldest statues ever made by human civilization.

Ancient Roman Theater In Amman Jordan And Amman Museum
Ancient Roman Theater In Amman Jordan And Amman Museum
The Roman theater (Amman - Jordanie / Jordan / الأردن) in 1991
Caution : This video is very old (1991)
(EN) The theatre was built during the reign of Antonius Pius (138-161 CE). The large and steeply raked structure could seat about 6,000 people: built into the hillside, it was oriented north to keep the sun off the spectators.
It was divided into three horizontal sections (diazomata). Side entrances (paradoi) existed at ground level, one leading to the orchestra and the other to the stage. Rooms behind these entrances now house the Jordanian Museum of Popular Traditions on the one side, and the Amman Folklore Museum on the other side.
The highest section of seats in a theatre was (and still is) called The Gods. Although far from the stage, even there the sightlines are excellent, and the actors could be clearly heard, owing to the steepness of the cavea. (wikipedia)

Yarmouk University - Museum of Jordanian Heritage - courtyard الساحة
The Museum of Jordanian Heritage at the Faculty of Archaeology and Anthropology represents a vital and important unit of Yarmouk University. It elucidates through archaeological artifacts the story of man, his material culture, and his relationship with the surrounding social and geographical environment. The Museum of Jordanian Heritage was opened in 1988 in cooperation with the German Government. The museum and its divisions are designed in a way that reflects the variety and interrelations between the academic disciplines at the Faculty of Archaeology and Anthropolgy; it recounts the story and history of mankind in Jordan throughout the main stages of development in a systematic way that serves the academic disciplines at the faculty and suits the needs and interests of both normal visitors and specialists at the same time.

Amman Roman Theatre : two millennium old ancient arena
Learn more about the Amman Roman Theatre and Jordan:
The Amman Roman Theatre is a two millennium old ancient arena considered one of Amman's most astonishing sites offering a seating capacity of 6000 spectators. It has a very interesting design cut into the northern side of a hill and offering three different sections, from the closest to the scene for the rulers, way up to the general public at the top and the military in the middle. The historical complex is also home to the folklore and popular culture museum.

Notes from Jordan: trip to ancient Jerash
Some clips from trip to Jordan when I visited what is left of Jerash, an ancient city in northern Jordan that once flourished with trade around the turn of the second century.
0:05 The Roman forum is an oval, an usual shape compared to the usual square. This was the town center.
0:13 Three Jordanians played bagpipes and drums as we went to see the theater. Some of us joined in to do the Matt dance with them because our school made our own version.
0:20 Some of the columns wobble! When we placed our hand at the bottom, we could feel movement. It was clear to see when our guide wedged in a knife that shook as the wind came.
0:40 Hadrian's Arch is a triumphal arch built in Roman design to commemorate the emperor's visit to the city.
