On the road from Temple 45 Iwayaji into Matsuyama and Temple 46 Joruriji, you will pass a little hut next to a boulder. Villagers were having trouble moving the boulder, when Kobo Daishi came along and suggested putting a net around it to move it. This helped and they were able to move the boulder. While moving it, however, the pole broke and the pole and part of the boulder went flying off. The net that they moved the boulder with left an imprint on the boulder that remained and didn’t fly off. Thus its name of The Rock Covered with a Net!
