Joseph Banks Native Plant Reserve - Sutherland Shire Council
Set amongst natural bushland with tall, captivating tree canopies, this enticing and hidden gem is one to behold and treasure! The suspended timber deck with amble tables and seating, provides a uniqueness for all to enjoy, unseen in most reserves. Adjacent to the extensive deck is a state of the art all-access BBQ, shelter and seating areas.
The rejuvenation of the picnic and pond areas was an initiative undertaken by Sutherland Shire Council which aimed to improve BBQ, seating, tables and shelter facilities, together with creating a pathway system with new all-ability access routes to reach these areas. This aim was achieved with the highest quality workmanship and will be enjoyed for years to come.
The works undertaken included environmental safeguards, set out and level control, demolition, excavation, drainage, concrete pathways, furniture and BBQ installation, sandstone retaining walls, timber decking, electrical connections to the BBQ and planting.
Established in 1969, as a tribute to Sir Joseph Banks, and covering 2.2 hectares, the Joseph Banks Native Plants Reserve is one of only a few specialised gardens in Sydney devoted entirely to Australian native plants.

E G Waterhouse National Camellia Gardens
The duck pond at E.G. Waterhouse National Camellia Gardens at Caringbah South in suburban Sydney NSW Australia is legendary. Families love going there on weekends, and during the week, large numbers of people visit to enjoy the tranquil reserve, and the beautiful pond and it's duck inhabitants. Joined in recent years by the ibis, which has migrated from parts much further afield in large numbers into Sydney after their own habitat became untenable for their continued existence. Areas all over Sydney now host the invading wader bird, the ibis. I find them intriguing, and at E.G. Waterhouse National Camellia Gardens, they seem to fit in well with the duck population. Every gets a meal, all the animals are content in each other's company. Using our cameras, we are looking at parklands with interesting flora and fauna all over Sydney, in an on-going series of short films we intend to keep producing. I hope you enjoy this relaxing look at the duck pond that's integral to the famous E.G. Waterhouse National Camellia Gardens, in what's one of my favourite parklands located in Sydney.

SUMMARY
=======
Bermuda () is a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is approximately 1,070 km (665 mi) east-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina; 1,236 km (768 mi) south of Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia; and 1,759 km (1,093 mi) north of Cuba. The capital city is Hamilton. Bermuda is self-governing, with its own constitution and its own government, which enacts local laws, while the United Kingdom retains responsibility for defence and foreign relations.
Bermuda's two largest economic sectors are offshore insurance and reinsurance, and tourism. Bermuda had one of the world's highest GDP per capita for most of the 20th century. The island has a subtropical climate and lies in the hurricane belt and thus is prone to related severe weather; however, it is somewhat protected by a coral reef that surrounds the island and its position at the north of the belt, which limits the direction and severity of approaching storms.
