KANGAROO ORPHANAGE AT JOSEPHINE'S GALLERY IN COOBER PEDY.
Our wonderful friends, Terry and Joe are always looking for volunteers to help look after their kangaroos. Their labor intensive job has them tied 24 hours a day to their orphanage and its endearing collection of kangaroos. But as they both admit, 'Sometimes, we simply need a little break on our own. We aren't getting any younger, yet the needs of these little ones remain consistent. And as beautiful as these little guys are, it's still a tiring and endless job, day and night, week in week out, which really takes it out of you.'
To run their orphanage, Terry and Joe rely predominantly upon money that they earn from their gallery. Therefore, your donations are also very much welcome -- even if it's just a few dollars, every little bit helps.
Mother kangaroos are either getting hit by cars, shot by hunters or killed by dogs, so up to 3 new arrivals are brought in every month. Each baby kangaroo requires around $50 per week to maintain until they are ready for release. These costs cover the special 'lactose free' milk mixtures and disposable dippers. The little kangaroos also use about 5 disposable dippers per day. Furthermore, this covers the water and electricity bills for the washing machine, which seems to be constantly running, washing soiled blankets and bedding. Quite a costly exercise for an arid region like Coober Pedy. Petrol expenses and the occasional vets bill are not included.
So for those of you who were touched by these adorable and playful youngsters and are interested in lending a hand, or donating some money, contact Terry and Joe on: +61 8 86725931 josephine@josephinesgallery.com.au

I still don't know if male kangaroos have nipples. Seriously... the internet is rather ambiguous about male kangaroo nipples.
A big thanks to Chris, the owner of Science Alert for taking me and my family to Australia for National Science Week. Check out his website here:

Instead of saving for my kids' college, I make videos using the money I would have saved.
The thought is it will help educate the world as a whole, and one day generate enough revenue to pay for their education. Until then if you appreciate what you've learned in this video and the effort that went in to it, please SHARE THE VIDEO!
If you REALLY liked it, feel free to pitch a few dollars towards their college fund by clicking here:

Didgeridoo Freestyle
The guys in the video are two brothers who brothers free-styling after a didgeridoo workshop.
This took place a little shop called 'Opals Aboriginal Art' in Whitsunday they only sell aboriginal made art (including didgeridoos of-course).
They were friendly enough to send along my (other) didgeridoo overseas [for a slight fee].
Another place I surgest people should see is Coober Pedy which is great little town along 'Stuart Highway' it is almost completely underground and if your intrested in buying a Didgeridoo or artwork I suggest you take a look at 'Underground Cafe & Didgeridoos' or at 'Josephine's Gallery' (which also is an Joey orphanage where we got to hug a Joey).
Last but not least, the Sounds Of Starlight in Alice Springs is a grate place to go if you like didgeridoos. You can also enjoy a show or go to a workshop here.
There are many more places if you wish to purchase a didgeridoo just keep a eye out for them.
