The mighty Briksdal Glacier is part of the Jostedalsbreen National Park. From a height of 1200 metres the wild glacier drops right down into the narrow, fertile Briksdal Valley – a sight which attracts 300,000 visitors from all over the world every year.

Briksdalsbreen is one of the most accessible and best known arms of the Jostedalsbreen glacier. Briksdalsbreen is located in the municipality of Stryn in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The glacier lies on the north side of the Jostedalsbreen, in Briksdalen (the Briks valley) which is located at the end of the Oldedalen valley, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of the village of Olden. It is located inside Jostedalsbreen National Park. Briksdalsbreen terminates in a small glacial lake, Briksdalsbrevatnet, which lies 346 metres (1,135 ft) above sea level.

Mount Skåla - Fjord Norway
Mt. Skåla (1848 m) in Loen, Nordfjord, is one of Fjord Norway's top five hiking routes. Walking here on the old stone-paved paths and stone steps, with fantastic fjord landscapes as far as the eye can see, is an amazing experience. Mt. Skåla is located in Jostedalsbreen National Park.

This is the same road Lotefossen is off of. To get to the high arctic plateau, you make your way up a number of switchbacks and incredibly long tunnels.
