Just a short drive southwest of Ingham provides an opportunity to discover the awe-inspiring Wallaman Falls, Australia's highest permanent single drop waterfall.

Big Crystal Creek, Jourama Falls and Wallaman Falls - Episode 8
Enjoy the scenery as we take you through some creeks and waterfalls of Northern Queensland.
Our first stop landed us at Big Crystal Creek, now unfortunately we were unable to stay at the national park camping as we had Rusty(Dog). Lucky enough at the time there was a nice free camp down the river were we enjoyed the creek. While camped here we drove down the road and check out Little Crystal Creek which was packed with tourist.
Our first waterfall was Jourama falls, i managed to get some unreal drone aerials here. Our next waterfall was Wallaman falls which in itself is just unbelievably good to see.

VISIT WALLAMAN FALLS Australia's Highest Single Drop Waterfall
You can find Australia's highest permanent single drop water fall about an hours drive south-west of Ingham in tropical Queensland.
The water fall can be viewed from a lookout just a few steps away from the carpark or you can trek to the base like we did as a family. A resonable level of fitness is required to do the hike as it is a moderate grade walk. Allow 2 hours to complete 3.2km return.
There is camping in the National Park, a short distance from the falls. The road up the range is not recommended for caravans. You can leave your van in Ingham, and day trip to see the falls.
We chose to stay at a location recommended by a local, it is only accessable in the dry season and space is very limited. Our set up did get bogged here in the soft sand, you can view the video at

ITCH - Jourama Falls Leap of Faith - (Cliffjumping, Waterfalls, North Queensland)
Cliffjumping. Made during some windy weather that saw the watercraft stay at home and sent us inland chasing waterfalls. This place is pretty well known to NQLD locals. In between Townsville and Ingham, take the Jourama Rd turnoff from the Bruce Highway. Go to the very end of the dirt track and park in the Cul de Sac, then follow the track for 15 - 25 minutes. Remember that there are 3 good size waterfalls here so take the time to find the track on the right from the first waterfall (10s) to get to the top.

Jourama Falls Canyoning, Paluma Range National Park QLD Australia
After a steep 90 min walk through the thick bush you get to the top of the open canyon the tourists at the lookout don't even know exists. This trip has 7 descents over about 8 hours, 3 of which are bolted. Once you drop down the 3rd (largest - 75m) you're committed. The pools are deep, with plenty of spots to jump and the drops follow the water over some of the most exposed descents Australia has to offer.
