The JE Sessions ( combines two of our biggest loves, original music and beautiful furniture, resulting in an unforgettable, one-night-only recital at the Journey East Singapore showroom (journeyeast.com).
In the sophomore installation of the JE Sessions, we are honoured to feature Hanging Up The Moon, also known as indie godfather Sean Lam (previously frontman of pioneering band Concave Scream), and accompanied by Alexius Cai (of ambient-acoustic band PIBLOKTO).

About Hanging Up The Moon:
Hanging Up The Moon is no stranger to music aficionados, with its origins as the musical project of Sean Lam, a godfather of Singapore’s indie scene for over two decades (also known as the frontman of pioneering rock band Concave Scream).
Known for its lush, introspective melodies and poignant lyrics, Hanging Up The Moon have brought their craft to stages such as the St Jerome' Laneway Festival, Singapore, Neon Lights Festival, as well as to sold out shows at the Esplanade Recital Studios. Since its inception, Hanging Up The Moon has also released three critically-acclaimed albums - their self-titled debut (2011), The Biggest Lie In The World (2013), and Immaterial (2015).

The JE Sessions combines two of our biggest loves, original music and beautiful furniture, resulting in an unforgettable, one-night-only recital at the Journey East Singapore showroom.
In the first installation of the JE Sessions, critically-acclaimed indie folk troubadour Nicholas Chim, accompanied by his band The Middle Of Nowhere, shared a part of his soul to an intimate, invite-only audience.

About Nicholas Chim:
'Introspective', 'haunting' and 'emotional' are just some of the terms that have been used to describe the music of award-winning folk-troubadour Nicholas Chim.
Touted as a promising artiste to watch for by renowned music producer Bob Ezrin (Lou Reed, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel), Nicholas Chim has been plying his craft since 1999, now with two albums and numerous awards under his belt.
He is one of the few independent Singapore musicians to have been invited to take his musical poetry to numerous festivals and concert venues around the world, having toured Germany, Japan, Australia, and Hong Kong.
