Mediterranean Highlights Trip - June 3rd
VOLKAN'S ADVENTURES - MEDITERRANEAN HIGHLIGHTS TRIP
FROM DALYAN
On this trip we will take you on a dream-like journey from Dalyan that stretches between the Aegean and the Mediterranean coastline of Turkey. Our amazing day will start at 8.00am to reach the seemingly endless beach of Patara where we will have breakfast and enjoy the fine white sands. Patara is 18 kms long and is Turkey’s longest beach. The sand dunes are a couple of hundred metres in width and the sand is very fine without any pebbles. Patara has been nominated as one of the best beaches in the World on many occasions and the area is a protected National Park due to the fact that the Caretta Caretta Sea Turtles nest there. There are also many types of birds in the surrounding marsh and lake areas. Patara takes its name from the important archaeological site, Patara Antic City which we will visit before we continue our journey.
Patara Antic City, founded in 5th century B.C., was one of the most important cities of Lycian Empire and today the oldest standing Parliament Building and Light House are amongst the monuments that can be seen there. There is also a very well preserved amphitheatre, stone sarcophagi and town walls.
After our visit to Patara Beach and the Ancient City Ruins, we will drive to the picturesque town of Kalkan with its unique charm. Here you will have the opportunity to walk alongside the harbour, the beach and streets of Kalkan where you can enjoy a drink or spend some time shopping.
We now head towards the town of Kas, stopping on the way at Kaputas Beach, which is one of the most picturesque beaches of the Mediterranean coast, here you will have the opportunity to take pictures, or have a quick dip in the cool ocean.
As we reach the town of Kas, the mixture of Roman Greek architecture blended with authentic Turkish atmosphere will welcome us. Looking out across the sea to Kastellorizo (The Easternmost Greek Island), with its narrow streets, unique architecture and jasmine scented streets, Kas charms it’s many visitors.
After enjoying our free time around the town, we will make our way to the famous Buyukcakil Beach where we will enjoy the sun, sea and the beach whilst our dinner is being prepared for us. After a delicious dinner full of joy and laughter, we will head back to lovely Dalyan with unforgettable memories of some of Turkeys favourite resorts, splendid coastal locations and the unique atmosphere that we have experienced.
Agios Ioannis Peristeron | Corfu Island
Agios Ioannis Peristeron has both feet planted in the quietly-does-it camp. Nuzzling in to Corfu’s south-east corner, it’s not really a resort, more a low-key huddle of hotels, tavernas and bars dozing in the Mediterranean sun. It’s all set at the foot of olive grove-covered hills that slope up from the coastal road. Hushed coves and inlets pepper the coastline all around.

Cruise Paxos Antipaxos Blue Caves
As no Greek holiday is complete without a sea cruise, we offer you the opportunity to visit three wonderful places. The island of Paxos and Antipaxos, which are situated, close to the southern coast of Corfu, and also the famous blue Caves of Paxos island. Departing from the harbour of Corfu, we have a unique view of the old town, among the two Venetian fortresses. Heading towards the south of Corfu we see the Kanoni peninsula and the palace of Mon Repos where Prince Phillip was born. We also see the tourist resorts Perama, Benitses, the village of Kavos and the cape of Asprokavos which is the southern point of Corfu island. As we approach the channel between Corfu and Paxos we see in front of us the green island of Paxos covered with olives and cyprus trees.
Legend has it that Paxos island was formed when Poseidon severed the tip of Corfu with one mighty blow of his trident and dragged it south to create an idyllicretreat for his love, Amphitrite! The Legend goes on ,with Poseidon´s marble Palace which was situated in one of the blue cave of the island named Ipapanti. During our passage, on the left hand side, we see the beautiful port of Laka. We continue sailing south along the west coast of Paxos island, enjoying the impressive rocky coast line and the unique white sandy beaches. Then the boat enters the breath taking sea caves, the clear blue waters will leave you speechless. We depart from the caves and soon we arrive at the small but perfectly formed island of Antipaxos, whose sandy blue water coves have been compared to the Caribbean´s. Here you will have the opportunity to swim in the crystal waters of the Paradise beach. Our excursion returns once again to Paxos island. It's up-market reputation continues today as millionaire yachts sit at anchor alongside local fishing boats. After entering the narrow channel which leads us to the picturesque port of Gaios village, we see a breathtaking view of the two islands Panagia and Agios Nikolaos. We moor close to the center of Gaios village where you can easily walk through the wonderful narrow streets and enjoy your lunch at one of the traditional tavernas. During your trip you can enjoy the sun and help yourself to refreshments, which may purchased from the bar. We look forward to meeting you to one of our ships and are certain that your experience on the Ionian Sea will be an unforgettable one.
