Jozankei Onsen 定山溪温泉 -- Day 2 Vlog
We chose Jozankei over Sapporo City when we were planning for 2 nights to stay before going to Niseko skiing again. We were glad we came here. It's a very traditional small Japanese town, it's very untouched by westerners. The hotels we decided to stay were in a good location, they are just on 2 sides of the river opposite each other. We figured there's no Taxi in this town, the 2nd day we were here, it started to snow, and it has been non stopped snowing very hard which it's amazing.

Magical small town near Sapporo
Private Onsen Room in Jozankei
Jozankei is an onsen town in Hokkaido, Japan. I recently visited there where I booked a private onsen room. I had an EPIC stay and I highly recommend this place. This particular town is located about 45 minutes away from Sapporo. The hotel I stayed at had shuttle service to and from Sapporo station. There are also public buses that can bring you here. As you can see from the video I rented a car. If you are a foreigner chances are you'll need an international driving permit to rent a car in Japan. I am from the U.S. so I picked mines up at AAA. Within the hotel there was a public onsen as well. It's an all inclusive ryokan, so my room came with (in my opinion) a 5 star dinner & breakfast. I saw that you could also get a massage at no charge too. Very beautiful property and town. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the service was top notch. From Meeting Alpacas, visiting enchanting parks and monuments to winding down at the Japanese Onsen and Jozankei Nature Luminarie, Day 1 was a packed day to say the least! All with the company of new found friends from Singapore - Cheesie, Malaysia - Chenelle Wen, and Indonesia - Marischka Prudence, too!! I miss you girls already!
