This is a promotional video made by two volunteers during 2009 nesting season. Juara Turtle Project (JTP) works to protect Green and Hawksbill Sea Turtles and their marine environment around Tioman Island, Malaysia. We believe that conservation really is a way of life or thinking. JTP relies totally on volunteers both physically and finacially to run the project. Volunteers are encouraged to get as involved as they want, and we try to use each individuals' skills to further the project. JTP runs open ended year round volunteer programs in sea turtle conservation and sustainable living. JTP is working to make the project finacially sustainable through true ecotourism!

JUARA: A Sea Turtle Conservation Documentary
Marine Sea turtles face numerous human-related threats, causing their rapid decline in population. Juara Turtle Project is a conservation facility on Tioman Island that implements measures aimed at reviving their numbers around the region.
This video is a passion project that I had been working on for the later half of 2018. It's my first shot at doing a wildlife documentary, and even under a controlled environment it still comes with its inherent challenges. Nevertheless the process from pre-production to post production was a positive experience for me and I have many people to thank for helping and supporting me on this project.

Here's a little throwback to where I went during my holiday. Since I have a few months to spend before I entering University, I figured I could work for some time as a volunteer. I found the Juara Turtle Project on Tioman Island and work for a week. Its been a unforgetable week in my life! Knowing local and foreign friends , get to know the information of turtle, living by the beach and many more. Well, enjoy! : )

The organization won't earn money by releasing the turtles babies into the sea.
