STORYLINE:
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II expressed gratitude, respect and pride as one million people again turned out in the capital on Tuesday to crown her glittering Golden Jubilee.
During a day of pomp, splendour, pageantry and carnival, Jubilee revellers filled the Mall, outside Buckingham Palace.
Forty-seven members of the Royal Family, one of the biggest royal gatherings in recent times, took part in the national party.
On Tuesday morning, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh rode in the Gold State Coach from Buckingham Palace to St Paul's Cathedral for a thanksgiving service.
The Queen then gave a speech at the Guildhall while Princes William, Harry and Charles delighted the crowds with a handshaking walk up The Mall.
Later they watched as six colourful parades filled The Mall outside Buckingham Palace.
An unprecedented low-level fly past by 27 aircraft - RAF jets with the Red Arrows display team and Concorde in formation - signalled the climax of the final day of the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend with the Royal Family on the Palace balcony.

London and Paris Vacation - Traveling Robert
This is a chronicle of our trip to London and Paris in the spring of 2015. We stay in Greenwich just to east of London, visit several other places in England such as Windsor, Bath and Stonehenge. Also see all the major Paris tourist attractions including a cruise on the Seine River except for the Louvre Museum. It is still a great Paris Travel Guide for a first timer.

Robert Shearman reads at the 2012 World Fantasy Convention
On November 3, 2012, Robert Shearman read his short story, The Dark Space in the House in the House in the Garden at the Centre of the World, which appears in his new short story collection Remember Why You Fear Me.
Hatfield House 400th Anniversary
We were proud and privileged to be selected to stage the display celebrating 400 years of historic Hatfield House. The 25-minute display was choreographed to a live performance of Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks played by The 16 Ensemble. The house's south front was lit by colourful moving lights while fireworks erupted from the rear, the roof and the formal gardens at the front. Handel's famous work contains little percussion, having been composed for the brass and strings of a chamber orchestra. It was also at a time (1749) when firework technology had only developed as far as pretty fountains, roman candles and revolving wheels, gold being the predominant colour. Some 250 years later our fireworks display designer Ian Woodroof was able to call on the full pallette of pyrotechnology to create a colourful yet sympathetic treatment. Keeping back high aerial starbursts for only the loudest passages, Ian used every nook and cranny of the roof and gardens to create some beautifully artistic effects, including a 100ft waterfall hung between two chimney stacks. Other effects included rows of fountains sparkling along the roof edge and around the central clock tower, lifts of red, green and gold starbursts from the back of the house and lattices of pretty roman candles and mines fans in the front garden. The display comprised more than 14,000 individual effects which took two days to rig and required a crane to hoist many on to the roof. Once set out, the fireworks were wired into a computerised firing system and ignited on the call of one of our musically skilled pyrotechnicians who was reading the score alongside the conductor. Fantastic Fireworks once again demonstrated its ability to perform at the highest level of professional excellence.

River Thames
The River Thames flows through southern England. It is the longest river entirely in England and the second longest in the United Kingdom, after the River Severn. While it is best known for flowing through London, the river also flows alongside other towns and cities, including Oxford, Reading, Henley-on-Thames, and Windsor.

Dr. Kevin Clarkson and guest Neill Russell go in depth on Sir Isaac Newton, the renown physicist, who concealed a prophetic script in an alchemy journal. A community built park of special historic interest to Bingley
The Prince of Wales Park, located just outside the town on the road to Eldwick, is listed by English Heritage on its National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens because of its special historic interest. The story of its creation demonstrates the creativity and collective spirit that was already thriving in our local community in the 19th Century.
A hundred and fifty years ago the population of Bingley, living and working in the smoke filled valley bottom, had nowhere to go for fresh air and recreation. The idea of a public park open to all classes of people became hugely popular, and once the first piece of land had been earmarked by the Enclosures Act, the mill-workers poured in all the money they could spare to raise the funds to buy the remaining plots.
The area consisted of the most difficult terrain possible for a park. It was on a steep hillside riddled with underground streams and containing several disused quarries scarring the landscape with open cliff faces. Much of it was open moorland. (If you want to try to imagine how the terrain looked at that time, look across the road from the park to Gilstead Moor, which has similar features to this day.)
However, the labourers, many of them volunteers, were not at all disheartened by these difficulties. On the contrary, they worked out how they could exploit them in the most creative ways possible, and in doing so they conjured up a wonderful design which had something for all ages. The hillside offered panoramic views of the valley, so they laid out gently sloping paths to criss-cross and lead the visitor from one vista to another. They edged the paths with stone drainage channels, leading the surface water into brick lined drains that are largely intact to this day.
The old quarry furnished plenty of stone and stoneworkers sculpted seats and showcased the fossil remnants of prehistoric trees among the wall tops. Dressed stone was used for an imposing main entrance gate and many of the flights of steps. The quarry floor itself was levelled and its smooth stony base provided a perfect arena for children’s ballgames and community gatherings. (This is where the ancient market place and butter-cross was located for almost a hundred years.)
The top of the park gave the best long distance views north and west miles across the valley, and was transformed into a spacious area of heather and bilberries fringed with climbing trees - oak the for children and Scots pine for the squirrels! Thousands of shrubs and trees were planted across the park, giving colour and interest throughout the seasons. In all it took two years to complete and was opened in 1865.
The park has retained much of its beauty and variety of scenery and woodland charm, though since the 1990s it has it fallen victim to council spending cuts, when toilets and shelters were demolished and woodland and tree management reduced to a minimum. However, the park now has an active Friends group which is working on a long term aim to restore the whole park to its former glory as a historic park offering pleasant recreation to all sections of the community, as its creators intended. (For further details please see the ‘Friends of Prince of Wales Park’ page on Facebook.)

Psalms 5:11-12
''But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield.''
'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places Ephesians 6:12 ..
