The Long Walk and Queen Anne's Ride - Windsor - with Drone | Harry's Hikes
The Long Walk in Windsor is an iconic 4km straight path with Windsor Castle at one end and a statue of King George III on horseback at the other end, on top of Snow Hill. However the lesser known Queen Anne's Ride is also spectacular and with a statue of HM Queen Elizabeth II on horseback (the only one in the world) at the top of another straight path, both lined by trees on either side. Why not do them both on this hike!
Park here and you can chose to do one and/or the other:
Rated Easy due to distance, mostly tarmac terrain, any footwear, and accessibility.

The UK Vlogs - Windsor Castle
In August this year (2017) I had the awesome privilege to go to the UK for the 1st time in my life. It was truly an amazing experience, and we managed to see quite a lot in the 2 weeks that we were there. I’m a sucker for history, so seeing some of the greatest British castles was magical.
This video is all about Windsor Castle, In two words – FRIKKEN AWESOME!!!! The place is magnificent! We started the off with a stroll along the Thames, taking in the sights and sounds of swans, ducks and river boats. We then went up to the castle past the Queens Jubilee fountain in the shape of her crown.
We stood in line at the gates for a little while, bought tickets, collected our electronic tour guides and headed into the castle grounds. The castle exterior is everything you want a Medieval castle to be, my favourite was the castle keep situated on the round motte. We had a tour of the royal apartments, it was magnificent, I had goosebumps the whole time and I was in awe. It was the same feeling I had when I saw the painting of the Nightwatch in Amsterdam. My favourite displays were the weapons and armour mounted on the walls. The place is fantastic. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take pictures inside, but I did buy a souvenir guide. We also saw Queen Mary’s doll house that was impressive.
Back outside we went past St George’s Chapel and I got my picture taken with a guard. We were also just in time to catch the changing of the guard on the 2nd day we went. What an amazing start to an amazing holiday!

STORYLINE:
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II expressed gratitude, respect and pride as one million people again turned out in the capital on Tuesday to crown her glittering Golden Jubilee.
During a day of pomp, splendour, pageantry and carnival, Jubilee revellers filled the Mall, outside Buckingham Palace.
Forty-seven members of the Royal Family, one of the biggest royal gatherings in recent times, took part in the national party.
On Tuesday morning, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh rode in the Gold State Coach from Buckingham Palace to St Paul's Cathedral for a thanksgiving service.
The Queen then gave a speech at the Guildhall while Princes William, Harry and Charles delighted the crowds with a handshaking walk up The Mall.
Later they watched as six colourful parades filled The Mall outside Buckingham Palace.
An unprecedented low-level fly past by 27 aircraft - RAF jets with the Red Arrows display team and Concorde in formation - signalled the climax of the final day of the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend with the Royal Family on the Palace balcony.
