Slovenia: Julian Alps and Soča River Valley
More info about travel to Slovenia: This northwestern corner of Slovenia is busy with visitors both winter and summer. The Julian Alps, laced with hiking paths and alpine villages, and the milky-blue Soča River flowing down into the peaceful valley below offer plenty of diversions for nature-lovers. This terrain also has a terrible war history—it was the Soča Front during World War I; a nearby museum tells the story.

The Best of SLOVENIA: One Day in the Incredible Julian Alps
In The Julian Alps 4K [Timelapse]
Goal of the time lapse video is to represent Julian Alps. Video was shot in north-west part of Slovenija. Julian Alps are one of the most beautiful parts of Slovenia. Part of the Alps is also in Italy and Austria. They form a part of Eastern Alps. Highest peak is Mount Triglav (2864 meters), which is also the highest mountain in Slovenia. One of the most famous lakes in the world - Lake Bled is also part of the Julian Alps as well as beautiful crystal clear River Soca (Reka Soča). Endless forrests and natural beauty will take your breath away!
All of the shots were made in Triglav National park (Triglavki Narodni park) Some of the mountains and locations:
Lake Bohinj
Kranjska Gora
Planica ski jumping
Mountain Špik
Vršič pass / Prelaz Vršič
Ruska kapelica
Lake Jasna /Jezero Jasna
Soca River / Reka Soča
And much more!

I've been to Slovenia many times, but always to the alpine. This time we explored the lower lands, on the newly minted Juliana Trail.
The Juliana Trail is a brand-new walking trail that circumnavigates Slovenia's Julian Alps. It's 270km long, and is broken into 16 different stages that can be done individually.

Slovenia, The Julian Alps / Словения, Юлианские Альпы
FLY-ART.COM
Slovenia has a fantastically beautiful mountains. We have enjoyed travelling in Slovenia a lot. We were hiking to different waterfalls and lakes, to high mountains and deep gorges there.
This video shows Bohinj lake, Gregorchichev waterfall,Savica waterfall, Krn Mountain and the scenery valley of Socha - the emerald river in Tolmin.
Perhaps one day you will enjoy travelling and tandem paragliding over Julian Alps with us :).
ПОЛЕТЫ НА ПАРАПЛАНЕ В СЛОВЕНИИ
fly-art.com

Julian Alps Slovenia
This is an introductory video from my recent trip to Bovec in North Western Slovenia, an excellent centre of adventure sports, which I would bet is one of the best in Europe. I was there to check out the white water rafting, mountain bike riding, zip lining, kayaking, climbing, horse riding, and whatever else you could possibly think of doing at the Julian Alps.
Stunning as they are, the Julian Alps are worth visiting just to look at. They are even more dramatic than I had ever imagined. Sunbathing was not on the list of activities for us as we set out to explore the surrounding countryside, but our plans were scuppered by an intense storm which lasted about 36 hours, confining us to the not so great indoors.
This video was made mostly from my room at the 3rd floor of the Hotel Kanin (named after the mountain) from where I had a great view towards the Triglav National Park and magnificent peaks. I would have liked to show more of this magnificent mountain range, but the storm put an end to that as well as the fact that the ski lift was closed.
A lot more to come on Slovenia....

THE SLOVENIAN ALPS - Europe's best hidden secret - 4K ultra HD
I traveled for a week with my work to Slovenia, more precisely Ribcev Laz, at the heart of the Slovenian Alpine mountains. I had no idea what was waiting for me to discover, and even with a little research before hand, nothing comes close to the majesty and wonders of Triglavski Narodni Park. The good thing is, there were virtually no other tourists, just the locals, which undisclosed their piece of heaven on earth. And here comes just a sneak peek at a week of adventures and intense photography.
Interesting facts about this trip:
-75+ km hike to get the best shooting places
-5000 pictures taken
-100+ hours of work
-10 pairs of hand-warmers at night
-One crazy French guy and his camera
Technical stuff:
-Sony a7r2 + Sony 28mm f/2, Canon 50-200mm f/4-6.3
-Picture editing: Capture One 9
-Film editing: Final Cut Pro X
